@@Mute2024 Hey Simone-- Much respect from America for the way you folks have preserved your premium Allspice crops. Jamaica's Allspice is the finest in the world by a LARGE margin, having WAY more of the volatile flavor compounds and essential oils than any other nation's Allspice. Once someone tries the difference they will never go back. Jamaican Allspice is prized all over Europe, and Swedish meatballs wouldn't be Swedish meatballs without it. One of the most complex flavor profiles of any spice in the world. I'm going to be experimenting with the combination of Jamican Allspice, Tahitian vanilla, and Tonka Bean in a delicate Panna Cotta as an infusion. Of all the exoticism of these ingredients, I look forward most to the promises held by the Jamaican Allspice. Peace!

As everything, you idiot. Indians and Africans also invade thousands of land and I'm not seeing you complain. I'm Brazilian and the "native" where the most barbaric monster ever know. Cannibalising their victims, making war every year as a religious tradition for their gods, just like we party carnival today, and burying"defective"(things like"it doesn't breath strongly enough") children alive and they still do it. They should all be killed.

Ryad Eddauod it was enough to be the one who discovered something new to ones own society in those times. We like to think things have changed, but even now scientists who describe creatures long known to fishermen or construction workers still get credited as their discoverers. Depressing how little we change.

Spice of Life Drinking game: Take a drink every time; We see native people sitting cross legged on the ground. It has to be dried out in the sun. Early trade resulted in slavery/genocide. We end up in Asia for some reason. You spend half the episode watching people do something completely unrelated to the spice. They claim the spice was once thought to have medicinal properties. Add your own! Not putting the show down I think it is great btw.

Why does everybody insist that Columbus "discovered" America when he never set foot on it. He only got as far as the islands? The woman got a little mixed up. In the UK there are three types of dried grapes. The smallest are dark brown/reddish nearly black and are known as currents. The slightly larger, usually medium brownish are raisins, and the large white/yellowish ones are sultanas. There are other mistakes as well but will not belabour the point anymore.
@neuralvibes8 жыл бұрын
Columbus set foot in what is today's Panama and Venezuela during his subsequent voyages, i.e. Central and South America. So, he did set foot on the mainland, just not in North America (he missed the southern tip of Florida by a whisker on his first voyage).
