Made me think of my Nana 😭😭😭 My nana was born out of wedlock in the 1940s rural south and her classmates and teachers treated her like crap and bullied her because of it. When she was ten years old her mom married an older man that worked in banking. He told her he was going to adopt her because he loved her and she was HIS little girl and he didn't care what anyone else said. My nana's mother and him never had children of their own but for the rest of his life he always called her "my daughter" and even went to help her pick out her dress for prom when she was a teenager (this was not a common thing then) Then later helped her pick her wedding gown before he died of health complications 😭 Rest in peace Nana, and Rest in peace Papaw Thomas

This made me bawl bigtime. In 1963 I was in an orphanage (in Canada) and two amazing people walked in and were looking around at 32 little babies. Apparently I was the only one with a giant smile on my face and my eyes were as big as saucers. I was just 4 months old. Those wonderful people "chose" me. I was given the best childhood and life I could ever ask for. Sadly both my parents have passed now, but when they told me the story of my adoption when I was 23yrs old, I cried endlessly that day (good tears of course). Best parents ever. I sure hope I get to reunite with them in the afterlife when I get there.

Wendy Solo This is sooo cute, thank you for sharing! ❤️. I always tried to understand why people that were adopted, even if they had a good childhood they tend to feel very bad when they find out later on. I'm not judging, what I mean is that I thought the feeling would be of feeling thankful rather than sad about it. I think it's the first time that I read something as sweet as what you wrote, thank you again.
@fadetoblond4 жыл бұрын
@@marybrit You're welcome. I had no desire to find my birth mother until after my parents were both gone. I would have NEVER betrayed them in that way. I know some adoptive parents say they understand when their kid wants to find their biological family, but at the same time...families have been destroyed when the adopted person decided to have a stronger relationship with his/her biological mother. I would find that to be a huge betrayal to the people who really wanted a child but couldn't have one. My mom had 7 miscarriages before finally giving up and adopting me. I always felt so heartbroken that she tried so hard. And the worst part it...she was always 7 months pregnant. Today that baby could be saved at 7 months. Sad really.

The moment it really hit home was when the lil girl was reading on the steps and started to cry. He just picked her up and held her like she was his own body, like any good dad would naturally do to their daughter. And that's what is incredible about love: that girl wasn't fathered by him, another man is her biological dad, but that fact is null and void when he feels real father love and commitment to this little girl. He doesn't see another man's girl, he sees his girl. That gets me every time.

Adoption videos, People returning home after a long time and surprising pets & other family and communities surprising a beloved person all fall into the category of "I'm so gonna cry in this video".
@willmckean84244 жыл бұрын
The little girl saying “I’m gonna be adopted?” Immediately knocked me on my last leg. I was barley holding it in. But the girl asking her dad in tears “daddy will you adopt me?” Friggen took me down and the flood gates burst. There rest of the video took a while to finish because I had to stop wipe my eyes so I can see lol.

This speaks volumes! My late father was a foster kid, who lived in an abusive foster house but he persevered and went to Bible College that's when he was adopted by my Grandpa and Grandma Croft while a student. The love of my non-blood related Grandparents was one of the happiest days in his life. My wife and I are looking into fostering as well. I love you dad! RIP Servant of God. 1951-2005

I love this! I was adopted as a baby in the Phillipines, and it makes me so happy to see the happiness brought to others through the selfless love someone can have for another. A family doesn't require the same blood. It only requires unconditional love for another. This is beautiful!

@KitCat Art I’ve never cried this much in any year before. That last three months I changed and became extremely fragile and and cry over little things that I don’t think they should make me cry. I am afraid now to cry in front of someone cause I weirdly can not control crying. And when I cry my eyes become bloody red and my nose becomes pink and it’s extremely obvious cause will be looking like a zombie.😂

I remember a month a go Once I knew I failed the subject that I cared about the most and spend money on the most and didn’t sleep properly for months for my project. I cried for a straight half an hour and couldn’t stop until I forced myself to cause I got tired of crying and my eyes and throat hurt so bad.

School's office manager looking at mom and daughter with big smile on her face is so heartwarming! Life can be stressful sometimes, but this was more than enough to me so happy. Also, massive respects to adoptive parents; they are raising someone else's child with gigantic love. It literally takes life-long commitment, just incredible.
