Im 41 and finally using my own brain. The only pressure is the pressure i put on myself. ❤ I chill in januar. I ease into the new year, setting up everything, especially my soul, for the challenges ahead❤❤❤❤. Peace and love to all you younger ladies out there struggling. Set boundaries. Say no. And know; you ALWAYS have a choice: to stay, to leave, to decide what you are going to accept in your life. I wish I knew that sooner in life. I felt so obligated to please others and lost myself many times❤love to you younger people: its a tough era of life. Protect yourself as if you were a vulnerable child. Because inside, that child is still alive and needs your care. ❤❤

kalyn, im just a random girl from poland, but i need to say it, i watch your videos for about 6 years now, and just wanted you to know, that what you do is very important and needed. Your words, values and thoughts make me a better person i gained sooo much wisdom thanks to you. I know it sounds cheesy but its the truth. Thank you ❤️

I can totally understand the feeling you're referring to regarding reorganizing all your Pinterest folders because I've fallen victim to that urge myself! As silly as it sounds. For 2024 I have a lot of personal and professional goals and habits I want to incorporate into my life. What I'm doing differently this year to deal with my perfectionism (and not abandon it all in a couple of weeks) is being aware that I can't do it all at the same time. I'm gifting myself the opportunity to incorporate habits and work on my goals little by little, without putting pressure on myself, knowing that everything I do, no matter how small, will be beneficial. So I could say that my vibe for this new year is being patient an kind with myself. I liked your reflection about what you would like to teach a hypothetical daughter. I've had those thoughts too, and definitely teaching her that she doesn't have to want to erase aspects of herself but to improve what she already is (because she is already valuable and special!), is an excellent way to teach her to value herself. How much I would have wanted to receive that lesson in the form of loving words, and not in the form of life's blows! Thanks for sharing your reading list, I certainly added a few titles to mine!

Also, we, as the following, witness your videos because we absolutely care about you and the things you share! I personally loved the color topic, i think about these things all the time and assume nobody else does 😂 (now im gonna finish watching the video 😘🖤)

Kalyn, I loved this talk SO much! Burnout and Year Of Less are also on my list for 2024 - small world! :) If you are looking for one more book about balancing work and motherhood, I liked "I Know How She Does It" by Laura Vanderkam. I wish you all the bestest in this phase of your life, and am so excited you'll keep creating! ❤

Hello! I only discovered you a few months ago and I’m really enjoying your coffee talk! I’m currently drinking an almond matcha latte with a scoop of collagen to get that extra protein in. My colors this year seem to be very much on the blue tones…sky blue is calling out to me a lot! Also, at the moment I’m currently reading “ fast like a girl “ by Dr Mindy Pelz. It’s so fascinating how much priceless knowledge is in this book, especially for a woman! I also quit my job 6 months ago and I’m just feeling in what it is I want to do next…it’s challenging not earning a pay but am really wanting to change this around this time, not be in a career that is draining and not who I truly am becoming. Who am I , I ask myself? I am changing constantly and loving other aspects of me and seeing what it is I can truly bring in this world! Thank you woman, women definitely need to support one another and lift each other up! ❤😊

❤ I’m about halfway through “Mama Rising”. Wow. I want to hug us all and cry for all of us. We rock. We really do. Matrescence, like adolescence”. A change (a real, visceral change that happens) to women after having babies. If you’ve read it, you know. Love to you all. And me too. xx ❤

30:24 this nugget hits home hard. It’s been just over 2 years since I lost my mom suddenly and nearly 3 months since loosing my heart dog, so grief is fresh in my mind, and some moments and days are just heavy, but I’ve been making an intentional effort to do things and bring things into my life that would be something both of them would be happy for me about, and cheer me on. Sounds dorky, but I imagine that they can see me and are my angels that want me to do all of the things with their honor/them in mind and what they’d say “if it’s a screaming yes, do it!” Now I’ll finish watching with some tears haha

43:13 although my mom and I were close before her passing, and I was able to gain some insights on womanhood and being a younger adult female, now that she’s passed, I totally grasp how you feel, with not having access to momma wisdom and having that insight from someone who quite literally birthed you and (should, I know not all) knows you intimately and saw you grow up into who you are today. All the feels and thoughts are somehow coming to me during this episode. So thanks for the longer content!

I love your videos! I just started working retail and I’ve cried about two times now and barely worked there for 4 days. I am determined to not let them get to me but men people can be so mean but I told myself to brush it off no matter how hard it is to brush it off and not let them get to me. And to gain confidence in myself that I can do it, it may take me a while to learn and get the hang of it but I am determined to do it ❤️ I hope you make more videos like this

I worked retail for 5 years from the time I was in high school till my first year of college. There will be amazing and memorable people. But know when to walk away. Retail can be incredibly draining in so many ways and you’re allowed to lose your cool when you’re by yourself or away from customers. Sometimes it’s better to release your emotions rather than holding it in. Remember your value is above money and the service you can provide. All the best wishes ❤

I'm also feeling very drawn to lavendars and almost mauve pinks and purples right now. (I literally happened to have put on a lavender hoodie right before turning this on, while i was cooking lol.) But especially feeling the new year pressure of perfectionism- also been procrastinating and overthinking even STARTING my vision board this year. But feeling inspired today to take some baby steps and give myself some more grace there. But overall, loved the long chat and book recs. 💜

I've finally managed to let go of this concept that the new year in January is the time for change and instead am flowing more with the seasons. The dead of winter never felt right to start all this change and action. So I will be happily hibernating and resting until I can sew my seeds in spring! (And definitely picking up that wintering book in the meantime!)

This is why I like december more than january. I always feel like I can take it slower, people don't expect much cause everyone is in holiday mood. Whereas as soon as January hits ,everyone is hustling grinding and I feel like I'm not doing enough etc. I'm just a girl I want a slow life yall 😂❤
@KalynsCoffeeTalk8 ай бұрын
I hear you!! My motivation is on “do not disturb” until spring.
@wearesatellites918 ай бұрын
Mm true, but people in December also tend to be extremely indulgent, consumerist, and in excess. That’s not sustainable for more than a few weeks either. Everything has its season, but no season lasts all year. Ebb and flow as needed, but there’s gotta be a balance between rest and action.
