Hilarious. Quite possibly the most egregious foot faulting I’ve ever seen. The serve at 6-4 is absurd.

The more I watch YT tennis the more I see this level of foot faulting. I’m beginning to feel plenty of players foot fault and don’t give a crap. It’s a shame for players who actually try to play the game properly. It’s easy to get away with it because most games are played without an official.

@@ayhayuba3969 More than likely they don't know when they're doing it and the opponent can't see it. But once told, it should be corrected. That said, most foot faulting doesn't really create an advantage. However, I would say in this case, big advantage. Player was practically stepping into the court like it were a volleyball serve.

And he has a platform stance! Foot faults seem rampant with pinpoint stance players, but even more ridiculous for players that shouldn't even be moving their feet.

@@Esprits4s yeah, he's reaching out with the front foot, which is actually bad technique. But he's a good player and this has probably come natural to him. All he has to do is look at the video and he'll understand what we're talking about. It's almost like he's stepping forward or into a throw.

Renowned tennis player and coach Vic Braden suggested that when faced with a chronic foot faulter to walk to the net and blast serves straight down. When the opponent complains, to tell them that one inch over the service line is no different than 15 feet.

@@Lanky009 This is true but you can watch your opponent play other ppl and see. Typically ppl with poor tosses will foot fault a lot and also pinpoint servers.

Josh lost the mental part. Tim played patient& aggressive, while Josh played impulsive & very aggressive. This is usually the same with younger guys. Always going for the big shots. Tim also always sent the forehands to Josh’s backhand and approached the net. This is difficult for anyone who does not have solid backhand

Mr Monsieur Foot Fault. How is that guy going to play in any tournaments? The foot faults were grievous. He didn't step on the line his foot was all the way inside on the blue. There's a guy that plays with my group who's older than all of us. Right now he's 80, I'm in my late 60s and some of the guys are in the early seventies. Dude has been foot faulting since the beginning of time. We have long given up trying to correct that issue, we just let him do what he do. With one foot in the grave, he's about to foot-fault in the ground instead of on it..🤭😱😂

The foot fault comments are hilarious. Does anyone really think the outcome would be any different if Tim stood a few centimeters further back? Did he gain any advantage by being 2-3 cm on the line? In any tournament with officials he would receive a warning, back up 8-10 cm, and the problem would be solved. If someone had brought it to his attention in this friendly competition, I'm sure he would have done the same.

There is a reason why a foot fault is a fault. If he did it once in 200 serves, i think its fine. If he does it 9 out of 10 serves, it means he cant serve without foot faulting. The very bad habit he makes with his foot requires him to move back easily half a foot and that would mess up the serve for sure. In any real tournament, he would have lost, or disqualified.

@@timfarthing8505 Hi Tim and nice hitting. I have the red version of your racquet (named the Pro at the time). If you like experimenting, you may like Head Lynx Tour strings at 48lbs. It’s a softer poly that offers good control and spin, and also provides nice, crisp feedback without being harsh. I’m 71 and it doesn’t bother my arm at all, and I have a one-handed backhand with top from both sides. It’s worth a try, especially if you string your own.

HEAD Prestige Pro with 95 sq in head size. An older model from around 5 years ago. Strung with very soft multi filament string at 55lbs. Super tight string pattern so you have to hit the sweet spot and really tough to create top spin. But if you hit flat and clean like me then its a dream racket because the feel you get is lovely.

I write this before wathcing the video - I would imagine that the ITF senior player most likely wins easily. Although one tie break is a bit random. You have to be quite good in order to compensate for worse technique, worse tactical awareness, worse footwork etc. Based on the thumbnail, that "old" ITF player doesn't look THAT old. He should be able to more well enough and fast enough to outplay the club player, make fewer errors, keeping up enough pressure on the club player to make him lose patience and make the errors that costs him the match. Will be interesting to watch the video now, see if I am right or wrong.

The fact that he footfaulted 90% of the time, means he cant serve without footfaulting or he is a cheat. 😂 you can see the motion of his foot. Its a terribly bad habit. People who think otherwise think they can call a ball 5 inches out as in. 😂 Sorry folks, doesnt work that way. This doesnt take away the fact that Senior hits solid ground strokes and has great game IQ, he just cant play in an official tournament.

The kid has so much to learn. No head. Plays to the forehand all the time. Hits way too aggressively like Kvitova on one of her usual bad days, so many errors. But that is life as a kid. If you are smart, you learn from your mistakes. Time will tell whether he will become smart. First and foremost, he needs to develop more humility, self criticism, a willingness to constantly improve. At this moment in time, he obviously overrates himself and thinks he has learned it all. That attitude won't get you far. Perhaps he should watch a couple of Jordan Peterson videos.
