Josh is back against the legend that is Jamie Murray. Quite simply the best volleyer the world has ever seen, a former no.1 ATP doubles player that's seen it all. However will he be able to defeat the Best Average club player there is in Josh Berry?

@@allthingstennis If you review his comments again , he generally states it and is acknowledged by you or another gentleman by his statement of being mainly a grass and hard court player .He has a control based 16x19 spin pattern racquet . He is a doubles specialist , It is known that most players on the red clay of Europe opt for a large headed spin racquet . Dunlops cx version with its thinner beam tends to suit grass and hard courts . I own two dunlop cx's that have the same mold as Murray's 2018 editions . I also spoke to an American stringer from Washington D.C that knows his racket in competion play . My grip size is a size 2 his is a size 4 and for each others grip sizes , we both choose rackets that are very maneuverable and yet not much of difference in a manufactured sweet spot nor choosing the grip sizes optional 100 sq inch range for him and up to 97 for me . We both are at the lowest part of the acceptable range of racket head sizes for the difference in grip sizes . So please explain your commentary and emoji , in a non condescending way . While your video was entertaining , it was also informative . I was looking to decide on a different racket for clay and doubles . The pure strike 97 makes sence given that har tru is the clay varient in the U.S to play on unless one is traveling to Europe.

what is wrong with murray's forehand? did he have to play like that?
@whyaskwhy000
@whyaskwhy000 2 ай бұрын
There’s nothing wrong with it. Today we see pretty much the same forehand (western or semi western) with massive spin. There used to be variety of grips and the eastern forehand grip was used quite a bit. With wood raqs and early graphite on fast surfaces, the eastern forehand grip allowed players to get low when a good deal of the tour (at least the slams) were played on fast grass or on indoor carpet which some players would say was faster than grass. Plus the eastern grip allowed players to effectively attack the net and didn’t have to make a drastic grip change to hit a volley (continental or slightly eastern). Murray specialized in doubles (fantastic volley s) and his eastern grip helped. I love watching him play because he uses his opponents pace and almost “volleys” back the ball on his ground strokes. He’s a throwback player but there’s players still playing the grip but don’t have Murray’s feel and touch to move the ball around the court

@@kgill99 I would think walking implies multiple steps. IE, if someone does a single lung to the side, you're not going to say they're walking. Regardless, the rule seems somewhat ambiguous (when is a slight movement no longer slight?), and he played on tour, so it must have been deemed to be legal. It seems more like it's intended to prevent a volleyball style serve where players sometimes take multiple steps before jumping into their serving action. In fact Brian Battistone plays on the ATP tour and does use a volleyball style jump serve, but he only takes a single step as well. So a single step is probably okay, multiple steps would probably not be. All that said, the rule could probably be written more clearly.
