Sometimes during the course of a match you could get muscle soreness, feel sick, get hit (in a contact sport) and still continue to operate at a reasonable level, though in some discomfort/pain. Trust me, I've played football matches through a lot worse than a stomach ache. Although it may be annoying for opponents, it's not your place to judge the severity of someones injury/ailment. They're entitled to a medical timeout and you just have to deal with it, rather than be a bad sport about it.

This has happened too many times to believe him. You can't look like you are dying but at the same time run more that anyone match after match through the years and expect people to believe you. I agree, though I do wonder if there needs to be a rule change in this area. If the wrong call is made, but the player didn't have a play on the ball anyway, then there's clearly no reason to replay the point. When the player does have a play on the ball, however, it becomes a completely subjective decision as to whether or not the incorrect call influenced the players shot and it's naturally going to lead to disputes such as this one. So maybe they should just always replay the point. At least that way the umpire can say, "That's the rule, it's the same for everyone," rather than being left having to defend his/her subjective opinion of what occurred against the subjective opinion of the player.

I don't think he was acting lol...i don't think he appreciated Thompson's childish screaming, I think he was going to go Will Smith on him 😂😂

Gael has an excellent understanding of psychology even if he has a particular mental approach to his matches.

Was it really two bounces? I have replayed it with 0.25 speed and still couldn't see that.

Monfils should have never had to apologize to anyone about him being sick. Of course, he wants to play and yes he’s going to have the determination to push but if the man is not feeling well then it’s really not his fault.

10:20 that's such a horrible way of reasoning. Probably the other way around: "Something is happening (to his body) and THAT"S WHY he is losing."

See where you are getting but many players have used the medical time out system to throw off opponents. Not suggesting it happened here but it can be difficult to tell.

Why do so many players say the call came “way before” they hit the ball. Steve Johnson half ass hit the ball and then the out call came after.

Either way Thompson should've made that backhand for good measure
