I was one who was burned by them and didn't think I'd be able to move past.. but I have been missing it! I always loved everything I got! And would use a lot for gifts too. So now that they have been bought again... I'll keep watching and maybe try them again.. I'd have to go for the yearly so I can completely customize. . Cause this box did not impress me.Thanks for sharing

I think that is very reasonable! Ironically if they had changed the name no one would even know who they are and most would just accept it as a new box on the market. Amazing how much a name can influence good or bad! Which is completely fine, I just find it interesting how that works. 🙂

I'm also concerned that these are all old product stock, & from businesses that never got paid by Causebox/Alltrue.

@@WillSing4TP So according to my POC they were all handled. When the first company liquidated, anyone affected could file and receive their said portion from the sale. Now honestly I have no idea how this works. This is way over my level of knowledge. But I was also told that stock was returned to anyone that had not been paid. So whatever stock they do have is theirs. Meaning the new company, not the one that closed. But also anyone that disputed the charge with their credit card companies were refunded so I believe that automatically voided the box order. Thats what happened to my personal box a few years ago. I got a refund instead of the box and I was good with it. But this was 2 years ago so I don't know. Do you really think this would be old inventory from 2 years ago?? I know the mist says it was manufactured last year (9/23). Mugs are not repeats, I know that. The bag- I never saw with them before. Bellapierre powder says expiration is 2 years out. Not sure on these other items tho. But! Thats just what I have been told and my own thoughts! 😃 🤪 Sorry I can't offer more than that!

So glad that you previewed this box. I originally signed up for it right before they went out of business. I picked them because they are totally cruelty free and paid for a year’s subscription. I was so happy with my first box and saw that it was worth well over what I’d paid for the full year. I was very disappointed when they went out of business but I failed to get a refund on the 3 remaining boxes of my subscription. About a year later they suddenly reemerged so it was a thought I was getting free stuff. Each box that I’ve received has been great, much better than FFF actually. I’ve never been disappointed with Alltrue, only with some of the influencers that have trashed them. Bravo to you for your positive review! Thank you, Sydney! I’m super psyched for my spring box now!

Retention Brands bought Beachly, Alltrue, & Birchbox. The CEO of Retention Brands, Chris Davis, was the co-founder & CEO of Loot Crate, which went bankrupt in 2019. I am extremely curious to know if Retention Brands has paid back (or is planning to) all the companies & customers who lost money from the previous owners.

Yes, I'd love to know if they'd honor the remainder of my subscription! I only got two boxes before they tanked and I couldn't get a refund because I used PayPal and it had been over 6 months. I asked if they could send me my remaining two boxes when the previous owners took over, but they refused.

I thought you'd like to know, I just went to the AllTrue site. I went to contact us. Got an error page. No matter what inquiry subject it did the same. I was one of the ones that lost out on 3 boxes last time. I paid via PayPal. I was just going to ask a few questions before I ordered a single box. I have a small channel also. I can't afford to loose credibility but like you, I was willing to give them another chance. Now I'm not so sure.

I loved Cause box, but once they sold and became Alltrue I had nothing but issues. I’m glad I cancelled and didn’t experience the failed refund issues. Honestly, I’m nervous to try it again. Plz let us know how things go!!

Absolutely! That is really my goal in trying it out again. It's been 2 years since the "fiasco" happened and from what I can tell online, things seem to be running much better in the last 6 months. So I felt comfortable to try it again and honestly we will just see how this plays out. But I for sure will let you guys all know what I think!

It’s actually another company, Retention Brands, that purchased all three sub box companies. The way she stated this was confusing, it is another entity that purchased all 3.

Does the company that owns Beachly own Singles Swag? I thought that they were the same? Anyway, I had to dump Singles Swag because it was just a box of old junk every month and I had heard the same complaints about Beachly. I'm really leery if it's the same parent company.

I don't think so. They have never mentioned it. But last I knew Singles Swag was still owned by the original creator that started it. But I have had Beachly for a few years now and its always different items. Sometimes there are little things like keychains or magnets. But I always get the best clothing items in it. That is the hero of the box each time. Honestly I have had singles swag and beachly and I don't even think they are on the same playing field. 😆
