I have dry, mature skin so I think this foundation will be great for me (I never set with powder). PF does love that fragrance! Luckily it doesn't bother me. Great review - thanks! UPDATE: This foundation is a no go for me. Thick, cakey, settles in every line and remains tacky - definitely transfers too. BUMMER! I had high hopes but this is a hard pass for me.

@@lindseylouise8312 Try Catrice Cosmetics Prime & Fine Dewy Glow Finish Spray. I lightly spritz it over my face after I apply my foundation & pat it with my sponge blender then again after I powder (& pat) to reduce the "dryness". I'm not "shiny" by the end of my day but I am not NEARLY as dry as I have been with other setting sprays. The glow it offers is healthy as opposed to glittery & definitely helps keep that cakey mature makeup look at bay.

Just a tidbit for my ingredient junkies- anytime u see phenoxyethanol (the preservative), anything that comes after is at a concentration of less than 1% and can be in any order. Although fragrance looks very high up, it could potentially be the last ingredient (not justifying the fragrance- I hate it in makeup). With that being said though, all the nice butters they advertise are also at less than 1% 🙄

I'm not very interested in this foundation but it looks really good on you. Oily skin actually needs moisture to balance itself,if you try to dry out oily skin it retaliates by producing even more oil.

I have sensitive skin and am prone to allergies and migraines. I was pretty excited owver what seems to be a high-quality drugstore foundation, but I just can't because of the fragrance.

Physicians Formula offers a 2 pk of shade adjusters... One very pearly white & one very chocolate brown. Just an FYI per the shade range of this foundation. Looks fabulous on your skin! I can't wait to try it! :)

First and foremost, your skin is gorgeous!!! 😲✨ As far as irritation from the fragrance goes, there is less than 0.5% of parfum/fragrance in this product since it is listed lower than phenoxyethenal. However, I also just tried this foundation and although the scent didn't linger too long in my case, it definitely hit me right at first just like it did with you. It was indeed like a perfume and reminded me of their butter bronzers and blushes, to where it's strong but doesn't linger on the skin or cause irritation to my skin.

The amount of fragrance doesn't need to be large to pose the risk of irritation. It may lower the severity, but I don't believe "it's less than X percent" means that it isn't of skincare concern.

@@allurabeauty Yes, very true. I feel like the brand should release fragrance free versions of their products especially with their philosophy and how it was originated for someone whose skin was frequently compromised by make-up products. I really love how the foundation looks on you! Especially as a concealer, it looked quite crepey under my eyes at first but looked better later in the day. As well as the foundation as well. It melted in over time and looked less texturey in my case.

Well, your nose will get use to any fragrance after a short while. So no, it doesn't smell as strong once it's been on the skin.

I’ve enjoyed some of physician’s formula products but I agree with the unbelievable amount of fragrance in them. Why! They had an amazing foundation that was recently discontinued that was fragrance free and it is such a disappointment

That was my HOLY GRAIL and I was upset they discontinued it, as well. I did leave a comment about it on one of their videos, not too long ago, and they responded with this: “Good news- The Healthy Foundation will continue to be sold in Walmart Stores, Amazon and physiciansformula.com. Shades may vary by retailer.” So that sounds like good news that we could still be able to find it! 😁
