Physicians Formula was first developed by a physician for his wife who was allergic to many typical ingredients including fragrance. The entire line used to be completely fragrance free. It's easy to tell that they were bought out some time ago as almost everything now is heavily laden with it. I'm loving the Maybelline Sky High mascara, it's my current fave! Would love to watch a vlog from you Shelly! :) The foundation shade looks good and your nails match your hair nicely! :) Please stay safe from the impending ice storm.

Used to use a lot of PF in my younger years, haven't really used anything from them in a while. Not bad. Loving this mascara. Tip it vertically & push up the lashes, after separating horizontally. My eyelashes haven't looked so good. I have the non~water proof & still no flaking. Knew I had to try after my indie makeup group recommended. Those girls know and don't talk a lot about main stream brands. Thanks for the post & testing!

As you said you have mascaras for different styles/looks, I would LOVE to see a video of you curating all of the mascaras you use for different purposes. It would be cool to see if you have different application methods or combos of primer & mascaras. I LOVE mascara and application techniques. I save my brushes from the mascaras I love and try them with different formulas to see what effect the combo of brush and formula have. This kind of video would probably take a while to compile , so sorry to suggest you do a lot more work! Your just so enjoyable. Take care & thanks for sharing your gifts!

I was so happy to hear that you sometimes have to tap out settling in lines a few times (I assume with other foundations as well?)! I find there is really no foundation I use that has zero settling into my various lines... finest, medium and deep. The key is .... does it eventually stop, and how quickly. Sometimes it’s exhausting with this age 64 1/2 skin. 🥵

This is currently one of my favorite foundations! I'm in love with it... That means they will probably discontinue it lol. I do set it with just a small amount of powder and I get less settling. I also use a setting spray! It wears so good! I have fairly normal skin.... I might be slightly oily. I don't use any primer at all with it. I haven't tried the primer that goes it. There’s a new technique outside, you should try to mix it with the Advanced night repair from Estée Lauder and then, put on your face. It supposed to be more natural and less dry. I will try that for sure. Thank you for this review.

I just can't get into foundations that claim the whole "concealer" thing. I like my concealers to be concealers and my foundations to just be foundations and not a combination of both! Hi Jessica! I'll add that to the list! Generally once I found the MAC Paint Pot I stopped using most other eyeshadow primers, because it works so well for what I need (anti-creasing, shadow longevity, and coverage of the blood vessels and red spots that you can see on/through my eyelids). The Alter Ego eyeshadow primer is pretty much a straight up dupe for the Urban Decay Primer Potion so I sometimes use that. But I prefer the Paint Pot for its coverage. If you don't need coverage, check out the Alter Ego. Unfortunately I don't really have any others to recommend because I don't buy them! They stopped making my old favorite Maybelline primer.

Could you try the putty primer without skincare under? I know I'm suppose to do my skin care everyday 🙈 but I haven't gotten back into the habit just yet and sometimes I need to put on makeup in a rush so I'm hoping this would be good to use on on those occasions.

I tried it once more with only moisturizer and no sunscreen. It didn't pill up when I applied it but as soon as I put foundation over it, it pilled up. There's something weird with how it turns to oil on the skin. I don't think I can recommend it unless you buy it somewhere that takes returns if it doesn't work out.

Is your sky high mascara the water-proof one? Because that one is 1000% different than the regular non water-proof one. I bought both, and I WAAAAYYYY prefer the regular one. The water proof version is very hard to build up.

Bought it. I have mature, dry skin. I kinda like it, not the best. You have to use very little. It also oxidized a bit. I do really like the putty primer. I tap on the putty primer. I tried rubbing it on and it pilled up a bit.

It definitely does not clump on me! My only complaint is that it is REALLY hard to wash off. I've used it a half dozen times or so and it's so hard to remove that I might stop wearing it. I don't like to have to rub or tug at my eyes that much, and even when I take my fingernails and try to scrape remnants off my lashes, I'll have some that's still stuck on some lashes 2 days later and that's with washing my face twice a day!

I’ve tried the physicians formula primer without skincare and it does work but it is very annoying if I wear ANYTHING under it. Even moisturizer. It more if I’m running out the door and don’t have skincare on and need to hydrate some dry patches.

She did! About 10 years ago, I had 3 cats, all named after Top Gun characters. 2 of them died, and Merlin was the only one left (who passed a few months ago). But when the 2 died within a year or so of each other (they were brothers), Merlin was alone, and I wanted to get a cat buddy for Merlin. But I couldn't bring myself to do more Top Gun names (somehow I felt like I was replacing my old buddies Maverick and Goose). So I was going to eventually get 2 cats, a boy and a girl, and name them Ziva and DiNozzo. I got Ziva, but then the next cat I got was female (rescue situation) and so the whole DiNozzo thing went out the window. And then I ended up keeping the shelter names of my 2 rescues because they came from a rescue that had 200k followers already familiar with their names... so now I have Ziva, Daffy, and Polly 😹 and I named my fish Top Gun names, Iceman, Jester, and Viper.

How does this compare to the PF Healthy Foundation? That was my holy grail drugstore foundation & I was so bummed when they discontinued it (it seemed to me it wasn't even on the market all that long to just cancel it). I'm okay for now, since I found some backup bottles on Amazon but I want to be prepared.

Both got a B- grade from me. I had to buy multiple shades of the Healthy foundation to find one that didn't turn orange on me, so the original review was an F. I love your assistant makeup artist! I think the foundation looks nice, but like you, I don't think it's useful for an under eye concealer for someone with dry skin. The shade matches.
