@@writerchick94 well a patient is someone receiving medical treatment, so we wouldn't call the owner a patient since we can't practice medicine on them. It's unfortunate that we have to charge for our services, but we do need to make a living, make sure that we are using the most up to date medicine, pay the overhead costs of the clinic, and pay our staff. Even vet techs put this much thought into our beauty routines, the doctors are always telling the guys to chill out on the cologne cause some dogs may get offended/ even more stressed. I've wanted to be a veterinarian ever since I was a kid, but I started developing chronic pain that makes it difficult for me to walk. Some days I use a cane, other days crutches, and on bad days I use a wheelchair. Because of this, I thought I couldn't become a vet, and the people I told about this also accepted it as fact that I couldn't be a vet in a wheelchair. Well, this video inspired me to research other vets in wheelchairs and it turns out that there are other people out there doing it! As long as I stick with small animals and have good assistants it should be totally doable. When I started to get sick, I knew I would have to give up a lot of dreams I had for my life, but this is one I think I can still accomplish! This woman is clearly an amazing vet! I love my cat’s vet! She’s also fabulous and so compassionate and caring. When I’m worried about my cat’s health, a caring vet is such a boon for me.

I learning to be a vet but lately I've been really unmotivated and considered changing careers. Watching this really helped and I like how you mention the mental fatigue it can cause. I love how you mention how sometimes animals won't like you because that has been a struggle for me. This was just what I needed to keep going :)
