I know cause I was in foster care. I know it’s a little different but it kinda ties over into that sometimes even even though a person is 18even up to 21 they are not considered adult worthy depending on the way the state or the county looks at the child or person, and they may still have them Under the state as a ward of the state meeting. A child is still considered to be in the system even at 18-21. Now the other part of that is if the person is emotionally needing support or doesn’t have family or has always wanted family and and was prevented from having a mother or father of their choice or that mother or father has been prevented from having the child of choice be adopted so even if the child is 18 or 19 or 21 or above the person can adopt making this legal child so that there is a parent and the person can feel as though they have family if they have no family at all or emotional support or vice versa, or if adoption was held up for many years and it is found out that it was unjust or unlawful and the child is now adult many years later even if beyond 21 like I said and beyondthis still can be taken before a judge and adoption can be sworn in and given I hope this makes some sense to this sort of thing and not all places and everywhere and only in special circumstances and conditions host. This makes sense, but it is rare.
