Awesome king! Good question re LED light, I don’t think it seems to flash continuously while in sleep mode in SteamOS although it does in Windows - any viewers know how to disable 🤔
@mistermars95342 ай бұрын
I'm still not sure if i should do this or not. The videos of games running smoother because of the pre shader rendering and the sleep function are close enough to win me over. But i also use Game Pass so switching back and forth does seem like a chore. And game sharing just seems like a waste of installing Bazzite in the first place. I'm currently using Playnite and it works pretty good especially with all my emulator stuff. I had to manually add MAME(2003,2010 and midway) to it so i'd be scared that i wont have access to that in Bazzite.. Oh well, another great tutorial however. If i do end up getting a new SSD i'll follow his guide and give it a shot.
@PeteTalksTech2 ай бұрын
Ace, my advice mars is to just go for it, give it a shot and then you’ll know for definite if you think it’s for you or not… I’ve found I stick mainly in steamOS, and it’s so great when I want a good hour or two gaming session all in windows then that’s now possible too, really is best of both worlds!

I seen a video about that and it is best way to use dual boot.

@PeteTalksTech2 ай бұрын
Yes Broken this could work very well - I’d love to hear from you great viewers who’ve tried this and really recommend it over this standard way!
@germanbondarenko6202 ай бұрын
It can be done, but it's not a good experience. The reason is that Windows and Linux use different file systems and yes, technically Linux can read Windows partition but the speed will be much worse. Moreover Linux requires some libraries which are useless on Windows so when you boot from one to another all the games will be queued for an update to match the requirements for a current system. I did it once on a standalone PC and it was not good
@BrokenWheelYT2 ай бұрын

off-topic, but is there a general setting on Ryujinx on the ROG Ally to make the games run smooth, cos even on default settings to the emulator itself, cos mario wonder doesn't run well at all, and even switching to performance or turbo mode doesn't do Anything.
@PeteTalksTech2 ай бұрын
Hey Yusei, afraid not - Switch emulation is MUCH smoother and better in SteamOS (like in the vid using Bazzite) than in Windows, as SteamOS preloads the shader cache beforehand, whereas in Windows shaders loads DURING gameplay which results in all the stuttering - that’s why installing this Bazzite for this alone is defo worth it… 👍

There is no reason to ever boot a game & not run lossless scaling. As long as it’s not pvp, I suppose. But I can’t imagine why you would ever install Linux & ever boot a game & not have lossless scaling running b/c lossless doesn’t work on Linux. Just run lossless 100% of the time. & don’t bother with Linux until Linux can run it. & if it can’t ever run it, then into the dust bin it goes.

@edwardlashley3572Ай бұрын
@@xdXDmiguelito doesn’t effect most games. If you are gaming single player I have only seen it effect a handful of racing games, honestly. AMD Fluid Motion version 2.0 virtually eliminates input delay btw. It’s more or less gone. It will obviously only double your frame rate instead of triple it or quadruple it, like with lossless, but frame gen lag will be close to nonexistent. Of course you need windows to run that as well.
