Great question! It’s great on Windows but I’d say slightly better on Bazzite as it was designed first and foremost for SteamOS… I’ll cover this in an upcoming Bazzite vid so stay tuned! 👀

Make sure you’ve downloaded the correct app version as stated in the vid and as shown there should be an icon we tap on the top bar to enable Ally controller 👍

@ I got the correct version but the icon doesn’t appear for me all I get is my log in picture and a basket icon, might uninstall and try again

Nope but I would recommend we’re subscribed beforehand and the app will be available to download as shown in vid on official PlayStation website 👍

I haven’t tried doing this on Bazzite but I’m sure it’s pretty much the same process - if there’s enough interest from viewers I’ll do a dedicated vid of it! If ya can stretch and find a good deal on the Ally X I’d get that, if you have a large steam library and want ‘pick up and play’ get the steam deck OLED, if you want to play anti cheat and power intense games like cod and also game pass and third party like fc 25 get the ally z1 👍

@ how much can you find the ally x. I don’t own a Pc and only play on Ps5 but I want to dabble in PC.

Now the Portal has got this incredible 4.0 update I’d say the Portal as this streams ps5 games whereas streaming on pc is only ps4 games as I show in the latest vid 👍

No it has to be usb unfortunately, but any cheap one will do that has at least 10gb storage on 👍

Good point Kyri, these PS4 games do look great on the Ally’s 1080p screen but it’s very peculiar why these are yes only PS4 but the Portal’s new PS Plus streaming that I covered recently is only PS5!! Does the PlayStation button work? b/c the last time I tried there was nothing that could simulate that button other than using a playstion controller which could be a buggy problematic mess. The so called “touch pad” button in the center on the PlayStation controller needed some type of emulated support. Where you could press the button without technically having access to the actual button.

You literally cannot play Spider-man on the PS without that touch pad center button on the PlayStation controller. No other controller has this button. If it’s not emulated the game is unplayable.

Just saying that PlayStation 4 & PlayStation 5 games while they might technically run they cannot actually be played without that button. The amount of legit PS4/PS5 titles that you could play w/o access to that button is slim to none. So it’s 17.99 a month for PS3 Ps2 & PSP games then lool unless Sony did something to fix it & it’s Sony so why the heck would they get off their lazy butts & fix it? lool. Pay for this service at your own risk.

Congrats on getting your new Ally X when it arrives g! PX Play is the best for remote play to PS5 console, this is best for streaming games from the PS Plus catalogue, both are great in terms of performance and very minimal lag 👍

Great question Duppy! If you don’t mind being plugged in all the time and also don’t mind not using an SD card cos it’s prob broke then get the Ally, if your budget allows and ya can stretch to get the Ally X then you WON’T be disappointed! My next vid coming out end of this week is an updated review of Ally X so stay tuned! 👀

@ interesting. This is technically my second Portal. I repurchased in the hope of the Portal being fixed and was really disappointed that nothing had changed. Throwing on ebay was on my todo list until last week. So happy it’s finally useable.
