In that run (Hard) yes... for my NM run, after a certain point I chose a 100% non-mage party up to the end, with enough pots indeed, and had an amazing great time!

I don't get why Oghren says the Ortan thaig hasn't been found in five hundred years. According to the prequel books, Alistair's father, King Maric went to the Ortan thaig not once, but twice, once with Loghain, Rowan and Katriel to escape the Orlesians, and a second time with Duncan and the Grey Wardens so they could find the thaig. It's known that Maric visited King Endrin Aeducan at least once. Wouldn't he have told him about the location of Ortan thaig?
