Back when BioWare stood for quality and storytelling excellence! Origins is way ahead of both its sequels, not only in gameplay (which is a personal preference overall), but in terms of atmosphere, world-building and visual storytelling. I honestly can't name one cinematic that was as awe inspiring in DA2 or Inquisition, despite them having access to better tech and a newer engine.

Inquisition had plenty of amazing cutscenes. Your party dying for you in the future because of the magister, when everyone starts singing the dawn will come to the inquisitor. And those are both at the beginning of the game. Inquisition had amazing characters just like Origins and an immense group of people to whom your choices matter. I dislike that the choices with your party didn’t matter as much as in origins, but the main storyline choices are amazing. You can also be a Qunari which makes it better. It definitely tried to be close to dragon age origins. It fell short on the combat. Honestly I preferred the combat in DA2. However we have to consider the fact that unlike DAO and DA2 DAI was is truly an Open world game so it was more difficult to apply the same combat system. Hopefully they learned how to make a better combat system by the next game.

With how BioWare is now. There’s not much hope for the next dragon age especially mass effect imo.

This shit made me so sad. You'd never think you feel anything for some NPC that literally got 30 seconds of screentime. You think he'd be saved too, but no, the bastard just slits his throat. :(

That NPC is actually Thomas, the guy who greets you at the Redcliffe village. So he had much more screentime :(

Man it really frustrates me to see how much better the fight scenes are in this game compared to Inquisition. Just that scene of the Inquisition soldier stabbing a Warden in the siege of Adamant Fortress is painful to watch every time. And they always showed so little of the battles, trying to end the scene as quickly as possible.

I usually do Alistair and Anita married if I’m doing a good play through along with crowning bhelen curing curse of werewolves and saving the mages but if I’m bad Anita solo secret party member dies killing arch demon Alistair a drunk kill ogrehn wynne leliana dog if I’m not human leave Sten caged and kill Zevran and shale as well as (yet to do) turn Morrigan in to gregoir and kill flemeth
