Oh my!! This takes me back dear Joasha!! I love this TV-movie score by the great Allyn Ferguson, such beautiful melodies and emotion. Fantastic footage from the movie so well put together, brilliant editing, all in keeping with the changing mood of the music. My eyes were glued to the screen trying to remember the amazing cast, all so very sentimental. My favourite actors, Anthony Andrews, Olivia Hussey, James Mason, Sam Neil, Ronald Pickup etc. Thank you so much for this fantastic upload and background information my friend. Allyn Ferguson was highly underrated as a TV and film score - I regard his score of 'Les Miserables' from 1978 as his best....

This music to the story gives such depth. "The story tells that Rowena and Ivanhoe oived happy together for the rest of their lives, but one can not but wonder, if perhaps fair memories of Rebecca did not haunt Ivanhoes mind for the rest of his days..." Ivanvoe had an amazing *What If* in Rebecca but she had it far worse.. Brian Guilbert was far from good, but he feels like more a creature of nurture over nature, evident in his reversal from wanting Rebecca as a bedwarmer to being completely okay with running away from his entire life to be able to actually be with her, and then even giving up his life in a clear sacrifice just so she could live on... Imagine what he might have been if surrounded by good people. So to Rebecca, i would guess Brian Guilbert was her biggest *What If* ....
