I hope that these restaurants appreciate channels such as yours. They introduce non-traditional cuisines to the average Vegas vacationer. This restaurant went from a place I would never give a second look at (because I was completely unaware of the cuisine), to a place that would be a must-visit. The food looks absolutely fantastic. I went to an all you can eat sushi conveyor belt place in Chinatown on my last trip to Las Vegas and it was amazing! Going off the strip to explore the city is so worth it!

I have a special place in my heart (and mouth) for the spicy pork and shrimp wontons. In order to avoid wasting one drop of that delicious sauce, I just order a 2$ side of noodles, and then pour all that left over goodness on top of the noodles, and I have a whole nother dish on the cheap.

The chocolate dumplings are liquid GOLD! ❤️❤️. Also a favorite is the green bean dish and the cucumbers with the spicy oil. Delicious! We have several Din Tai’s in the Los Angeles area, closest one to me in Glendale. We love it there.

You are supposed to poke a hole in the soup dumpling so the broth fills the spoon. 😂

Nah. No definitive right way to eat it. I like to let it cool a little, and put the black vinegar and ginger in a spoon with the dumpling, and pop the whole thing in my mouth to let it explode like a juicy gusher. Never understood the whole tear a hole method. Why bother making a skin that can hold the soup if all you are going to end up with is a spoon of soup with a ripped up dumpling on it? You could do that without putting soup inside the dumpling. I guess that method makes sense if you have a small mouth or cant bite with your mouth closed. 🙄 Seriously, try it as a one-pop and let me know if you think it's worse.

I went there on the second day it was open. For just XLB, there is one other place in Chinatown which is comparable (Shanghai Taste), but for overall dining experience, DTF is great, especially in this Aria location.

I’m pretty sure you are not following the recommended way to eat the soup dumplings, their signature dish. Use the amazing sauces provided, which diners are supposed mix and use with each dumpling. My son took me to their restaurant in Portland, and I was hooked. The server at that restaurant thankfully provided us with some guidance. One of their restaurants earned a Michelin star, which is a real honor. We’re going to the Aria in a few weeks and will certainly visit this place! Their soups are fantastic.
