Everything is super expensive because gambling revenue is down and they have to pay the overhead by gouging patrons for everything from overcharging to paid parking. I miss the good old days of Vegas from 15 yrs ago.

Lvskymar I couldn’t agree more. Much different city today. I think the one problem with the gambling is when the slot machines shift from the one line three matches to the interactive multiple line crazy games now. Those simply do not pay like the simple ones and if you want to just chill and gamble, you have to play 3 dollars a pull on those games to get anything instead of playing one quarter a game or even the classic nickel slots. I know times change and I will always love Vegas, however I’m not a huge fan of this new generation of slot machines

Vegas used to be so cheap because of competition and gambling subsidising the other stuff like food. There used to be so many deals. Now it’s crazy expensive. $9 for a tony pizza slice? Wut??? You used to be able to get a huge, tasty buffet for the price. Maybe there are deals to be had still, but they’re increasingly hard to find...

Nice tour. $23 for volcano pasta, $19 for an individual Margherita pizza pie, about $6 for a long cannoli. As Derek said, expensive. I will also pass on the $15 plating fee added to price of a sizable chunk of steak (that cost $20) that a customer picked out, so he could the steak with salad on the premises of a meat store/restaurant. Eataly looks great but you end up paying for the place's construction costs and the nice staff.

I stopped in there yesterday and had a slice of the foccacia pizza, which was excellent. Yes the prices are high compared to the normal world but I've definitely seen higher prices in New York. It's not exactly like the Eataly in Manhattan but that's because the walk in traffic is very different.

You're in for a big surprise! 😂 But even for those standards, this $8.90 price, for that size of a slice, in that kind of a shop (e.g. not a restaurant. Just a fast-food stand), the least it can be is outrageous. Cold-blood robbery!

That does actually look exactly like an original Napolian pizza! Simple and perfect, when done right. Made of fresh natural and original ingredients. It costs more than processed food. But it's well worth it to know what real food tastes like. Thanks for this review!

I ate at the Chicago Eataly loved it! I had the short rib pasta with red sauce and a cheese variety plate. Dont miss the Coffee shop italian coffee is great. Have the hot chocolate and i had a orange coffee with a orange flavored froth really good. The eataly in Chicago has a Micro Beer room and you can taste test the beers

The food Was old and stale at 7:00 p.m. at night. The fried chicken was so cold that you could hit someone with it. This place was half empty which figures because of the crapy food. Fancy food halls are all the rage in many large cities. Didn't we used to call these food courts? These are high priced, glorified food courts. This place looks like it has some very very good food though. I would give it a try. Nice video

Another great video Derek. I would probably pick the same ice cream flavors. Looks like all the people complaining about price are unaware how tourism work. More touristy place = higher the prices... If tables are empty prices are too high and/or food is poison, but if all tables are full that means prices are too low... Tourism in a nutshell. I guess if complainers were owners of some of these establishments they would look at it from a different perspective.

My Gosh, Derek, this Eataly establishment is expensive! It seems the design of selling raw food to the locals like at normal grocery stores might be a marketing ploy to prevent visitors from gasping at the prices. I can't imagine much of their overall sales comes from locals buying meats and cheeses to carry home.
