Thanks Derek and Catherine for the extensive review of MGM grand we felt the same when we tried it back in October the price is basically the same as back pre pandemic but 1/ 2 the dishes are missing we were very surprised dec 2019 when we ate this brunch before we left and the dishes were basically endless with variety my how things have changed. Thanks for keeping us informed.

We were there on Thursday - 3 days before you posted. The lunch food was a bit of a disappointment. However the staff was very attentive and accommodating. We were standing in line with a 16 year old who has cerebral palsy, and uses a walker. We never asked for any special accommodations, but one of the staff brought us to the front of line. So, kudos to the staff!! At the carving station, I got a nice piece of beef (nice and medium rare); but my husband got an over-done, dry end piece. Not sure why they would even serve that? Maybe they didn't have the seafood/sushi section when you were there, but it was a long line. And not worth it. Wish they would've refreshed the shrimp. the mussels were pretty good, and so were the crawfish, but it was not worth the wait in line.

Great video and we’re glad you experienced this buffet so we don’t have to. Obviously not worth the money. Here’s an idea for you, do a stand alone video where you rank all of the buffets you’ve been to. Judge them on quality, food choices, price, etc. it would really help us vegas non regulars figure out where to eat at. Thx.

Happy New Year to you!! I have not been to Las Vegas in a very long time it's been years. So I love watching your videos it gives me an insight of what's going on there. Knowing that the MGM is one of the older casinos there. It's sad to see that buffet so unorganized and so not clean. I would love to see a video on their weekend buffet let's see how much of a difference it would be compared of during the week.. Because the price you paid for the week day price was completely not worth it. Cause you don't know if it's because of the age of the hotel or the lack of staff they might not have the ability to bring out good food But they need to re look at what they're doing and revamp it.

Another great video Derek and Catherine! I went to the MGM weekday brunch buffet in July. My table was in the “secret” room. I was disappointed because there was a lack of variety and the same breakfast foods were repeated in several areas of the buffet. I thought the desserts were tasty.

I think this Buffet would be more suited if you arrived 9:30 10:00am ish. At least to me. There were a lot of breakfast items with the omelette station so it would be a good start. Then I think it is just a matter of picking and choosing other items like Derek's fried chicken, Catherine's pork etc. Overall I could get my money's worth taking my time picking and choosing and focusing on the really good things. Now with that being said there are numerous places ya'll have gone to that were better, and Vegas has so many places to choose from. so, from watching this video I think I would just eat at Noodles and Tacos again, lol. That place was the bomb!!!!!

I remember buffets in the 50s on. I remember late 50s at the Shahara hotel they did the buffet in the showroom and people would walk out with napkins full of food an early take out. LOL. One of the best was early Bellagio with king crab, lamb, lobsters and so much high end foods. Buffets will never be the same.

Happy New Year. Wow I was glad to see the oysters because I love them. Really doesn't look too bad it's just that everything is sort of out of order. I would think that the soups would be with the salad and so forth but it's just funny the way they did things. Second round of beef look better but I would need a little au jus on mine. Did I not see any vegetables? Like I said if it could be put in an orderly fashion I think it would be okay for 28 bucks. Thanks for posting.

Which to be fair isnt bad given that Vegas is 24/7... it was good they swapped out some different dishes during the session too for more choice... I am a big lover of breakfast food, and the potatoes looked very good. I didn't hear Catherine say if the Bacon Joint was any good, as you had that poor end piece of beef.... the 2nd cut looked like it was ready to jumpof your plate and run around the tables going MOOOOOOO! By the standard you guys have been used too over the years this was by your admission not worth the $28 during the week..... however, as a tourist I would say that for around £20 you could really have a substantial breakfast... as I spotted frsh fruits, some cereals and various breakfast foods..... with a dessert and drinks included..... so thats not bad..... I hope you review the weekend one (if you haven't already) as would be great to see the dinner style foods more. Stay safe and all the best.
