Missed 1 item...The torque converter was hand scratched through the Transaxle Timing window with a degree wheel on the crank (through the converter paint), in 1 degree increments TY Mr. Landy...-20 Degrees thru TDC 0, to + 55 Degrees. Then backfilled with white. So a blind man could set timing.

I was messing with him and the GIANT at Mnt Rushmore, Crazy Horse and STURGIS South Dakota.2000 I ask him to say "YOUR NEXT" on video so I could show my kids. They loved him. My dad had a 1968 GTX hardtop coupe. He and my uncle went up into Alabama one weekend and outran an Alabama officer, and kept running 120mph until they got back across the state line. My uncle said he was scared to death because at the speed they were going the car was floating. They were fast but they were not designed for high speed. And the gearing won't let you get much faster than maybe 130 but it would be wound up a bit to tight at that speed,

Ok, you have all the Mopar data inside info bar none on all the numbers. Have owned a lot of Mopars I have raced over the years. First was a 68 Satellite 383 TF Auto 8-3/4 (wanted a Roadrunner 440 6 Pack, but settled for a really cheap Satellite pickup). Best most consistent race car was a 1963 Dodge Polara 440 TF Auto 8-3/4 4:30 gear. Sitting 12 ft from my 1984 Dodge Daytona 2.2 TBI (single point injection), NHRA Stock Eliminator car now (2nd owner- Mom bought it new, am her Executor, so actually a single owner car technically), December 1984 car, head has only been off it once in lifetime. I need to find another stock longblock- with transaxle would be a plus), to have matching allowed number pcs to blueprint, balance, and have an NHRA acceptable valve job done on, so it remains Stock Elim. Legal. Any chance you can find out exactly how many were produced with the 2.2 TBI combo in 1984 Magic Man? Only 74,636 miles on the existing car. CA/ AZ car, no rust,, great paint.. Slowest FF/S class car in the nation. 17.45 Index has run 16.98 at 110HP rating weight. The combo was reworked to 99HP by NHRA in 1996 (a big diet and a National Record coming if I can find acceptable numbered pcs. to put in it, and not touching this orig. engine until I can find at least another long block to get machined). How many were made, and what are my odds of finding one never bored or damaged, or ground on? I have seen a lot of carb and turbo models, not many Single Point TBI. Interior was fully freshened from headliner to the carpet by me. Originally was an A/C car, have all the original parts incl. the wheels. Weight box is in the A/C mount over front right axle. Only changes are that, airbox removed-(still have it), and low gearing was done in transaxle (retained replaced parts), and a Turbo Action 5200 Stall Transaxle Converter and 20," tall FWD slicks on steel wheels. Omni Elect. Purple box ignition and aftermarket coil added through the original Hall effect Dist. (The orig. Hall effect dist. was kept original. So it is plugable back into orig. Config. In minutes.) The Rad. Coolant temp sensor has a rich/lean dial potentiometer bypass plugged in under dash mounted on exist.. trim screw and the Rad. Coolant fan same to an under dash switch. Both can be restored to original configuration in mind. And a Hooker Ramcharger header. Original exhaust exists- drop and bolt over to uncork- have original exhaust manifold. Only a quarter sized hood hole where an Auto Meter Fuel pressure Guage is mounted with steel braided line since was required to be exterior mounted due to Transaxle location and injection pressures of 74 PSI with the higher flow injector and fuel pressure regulator. ( Have orig. Parts and injector seat has never been touched.) You cannot touch the injector seat or throttle body bore, as far as modifications to remain Stock Elim. legal. Currently the original. Fuel Tank is still installed ( though an added bulkhead and fuel cell added to the hatchback area has been contemplated, to help the diet, probably would only be a net weight zero proposition in the end to help with Record runs and weight distribution). Could be easily done as a purely bolt in fab. as a 2 PC drop in bolt up in the spare tire area of the hatchback area without cutting anything if done by a great fab shop, as many drain holes exist in that area). More FWD wt. on the slicks. I have about 7 ECU's in my collection, all are rebuilds, each has a different Rev. Limit setting by fractions as they never have released the coding due to EPA regs. ( I have asked, all the way up to the original. Engineer Dick Landy looking at it personally...No go on removing or changing the Rev. Limit coding, so was forced to collect ECU's and test each 1 I collected. (Though he did teach me a lot of ignition timing tricks to move it up a bit to 37 degrees initial, and add the elect. Ignition box from a Dodge Omni carb car, better coil, and the rich/lean dial so it will still crank easy to start and fire. It increased the Rev. Limit a bit more and made the runs a lot more consistent and charge a lot harder.

Old GF/SA specs 110HP@ 25.00 Lbs. per HP=2,750 Min. Wt. (Plus 150 Driver and helmet). New FS/S specs 99HP @ 25.00 Lbs. Per HP=2,475 (Diet allowed -275 Lbs.) (Plus 150 Lb. Drivers and helmet). Plenty of allowed pcs. to remove, exhaust header collector back to bumper, radio, heater A/C controls, Weight Box with 80 lbs. of lead weight in it currently, spare tire and jack in the well, etc.....It has never been run at less than 2,891 Lbs. - Best 1/4 Mi. Run was 16.98@87.96 MPH in competition Class race in GF/SA 110HP @ 25.00 per HP=2,750 Lbs. Car+159.0 driver and helmet=2,909 Lbs (Class Winner-Englishtown 1995, and Phoenix 1997). In 1996 NHRA (by my request later approved), and reconfigured the combination (1994 Dodge Daytona 2.2 -Single Point TBI- non turbo, from 110HP down to 99HP, and added the actual factory installed December TBI correct intake number, later reconfigured and got rid of a couple of FWD Classes (combined EF/S, EF/SA, FF/S, FF/SA, GF/S and GF/SA...all into EF/S category, allowing a new min. weight of 25.00/HP× 99=2,475. Lbs Car. (Plus 159 Lbs. Driver and Helmet). Total required min wt=2,634 Lbs. (2,891-2,634=257 Lbs removed should=Record ET and MPH).

My Mission is to finally bring this Class car back to life (replace all hoses and belts and tires), finally build a motor right for it right blueprinted, balanced, and the right numbers to match the existing ones. Remove the weight to achieve the new allowed minimum weight temp., bomb the NHRA Record(s) (NHRA STOCK Elim. EF/S Class currently Index is 17.45, Record is 16.95 @ Minimum 1/4 Mile (set 02/07/2013), EF/S Index is 10.82, Record is 10.57 @ Minimum (Set 02/07/2013) 1/8 Mile...And then sell the whole thing incl. All the orig. parts and the orig. Spare engine on a stand w/ the orig. 74K miles on it, as a spare, to clear space in my garage and get the fastest of the slowest low budget Mopar NHRA Stockers ever back into someone's capable hands race ready, though in better shape than when I campaigned it last in 1995. Tons of spares including all specialized tools (degree wheels, etc., cams, gasket sets for teardowns, fuel jugs, and a crapload of other racing spares sitting right in the hatchback area. Nothing like your famous Cuda, but looking a lot like an old barn find right now on the outside. I need the room, and the kids are finally gone, and this old coot is nearing the end of days, but can finally afford to do 1 last unfinished major project if it nets results and freed up garage space with near net zero expense in the end. ( Once a title is transferred of course). You folks have motivated me to just do it. Now I need to find the matching block, head, intake, and possibly transaxle (though that is not required), to complete the project.
