Hi and thanks for watching! This week's video is an updated version of a video we did a few years ago before we had good sound equipment. Trust me, this one is much easier to listen to! I hope it helps in time for the summer weather to hit!

Considering it’s the end of July and my company just now decided to have us watch this, no it didn’t reach me in time.😂

With OSHA's potential new heat standard, workplaces will definitely need to change how they conduct their business. I was informed a few weeks ago of the potential changes, annual training, and policy creation. I have always said this should have been looked at years ago. State plans can have added conditions which I am all in for. As a safety manager myself, I am happy seeing OSHA looking at heat more seriously.

This is much needed for outdoor jobs with summer fast approaching next month, well done as usual Rachel. Certainly staying hydrating is the top priority but also eating little and taking breaks. I was in my high school marching band all four years so we took breaks three to four times day during summer in August.

Thanks Malik! Marching band can be surprisingly exhausting and dehydrating. Glad they were taking precautions.

Hi there! Looking for training video's for my organization's employees to comply with OSHA's new heat-illness prevention training requirements as of April 2022. Do you know if this video would be accepted by OSHA as proper training? Hoping so, your videos are informative and also not dry as burnt toast!
