I just subscribed Lydia, I love your hair and your sister's hair as well. You both are very beautiful. I believe I have 4 hair but not sure. I'm trying to grow it out after a long relaxer hair journey for many many years smdh that destroyed it. I used every product known to man in hair at one time or another lol. After a bleach job 2 years ago it was all in the sink so I shaved it all off and started all over again so here I am on your channel trying to do it right this time. I'm enjoying your channel and your tips

I've been waiting for this! It's basically the same as my Afro routine but I start out with freshly washed hair every time. The audio was really quiet for me to I didn't really catch what you said at the beginning. Do you start on already stretched hair? Thanks for sharing your lovely personality with us as usual!

I love the style but I can't hear most of what you're saying and the music comes in too loudly. I'd turn my volume up so as to hear you(never really did) and had to mute because the music would blast my ears. But I love the technique

So sorry about that lovely! Sometimes it's hard to test the sound but I will make sure the next one is better quality. Thank you for the support 💛

I had it out because I went out and it was night time and that's where I show you guys how I prepare my hair for the next day by braiding it! :) x
@Blossomthecreativist7 жыл бұрын
Would you not say that's a lot of manipulation?
@The.Whoever7 жыл бұрын
Blossom the Creativist That would probably be too much for me. I could probably get away with doing that maybe three days in a row on an inconsistent basis. my friend's hair could withstand this though. It may depend on certain ppl' s hair. Some of us could handle all that some of us couldn't. I wish I could. 😔

+nikqualuv09 Isn't it silly to find the need to compare. She has beautiful hair and it seems healthy so she is doing something right. We have taken being natural so serious that we forget that none of the "rules" have been a make a break...remember it is all according to your preference ladies... just because she does this every night doesn't mean you have to.
@The.Whoever7 жыл бұрын
Bridgette Kemp Exactly we believe there are certain "rules" we have to follow. It does get a bit ridiculous.

My 4c hair doesn't get curl definition I get the chunky afro look. I just do Bantu knots and I undo them and it's a chunky fro then I pick it out. Braid outs and twist outs don't work on my hair for some reason.
@charlottegelly44497 жыл бұрын
do they dry before you take them out
@whyyoureadinmyname51457 жыл бұрын
Charlotte Gelly I did them 10,000 different ways. I did them dry, I did them damp, I did them with hair grease, with gel. My mom achieved curl definition on my hair when she used cantu curling custard. It look so good, but when I do it it doesn't work. 😥. She has the magic fingers or something. Maybe it's just me.
@LydiaAndAlma7 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Especially when you only spray 3-4 times. Never drench it :)
@LydiaAndAlma7 жыл бұрын
id also say its important how well detangled it is and also PULL your hair DOWN so that you get maximum stretch . Twist outs do nothing for us!
@whyyoureadinmyname51457 жыл бұрын

Awesome fro but all that fluffing...ayeeeeeee!! The results were well worth it but just thinking about doing that to my relatively smaller mane makes me want to take a nap. But of course I'll be trying it out regardless, lol! Just curious, are you guys Nigerian and have you ever lived in the U.K.? I'm always interested in people's accents and while I definitely hear an American accent when you speak it sounds like there's other stuff jumbled up in there.
@Yault.7 жыл бұрын
How did you get your 4c hair stretched for the first time and how do you maintain it stretched every time. I tried it braiding mine but it's not the same result.
@LydiaAndAlma7 жыл бұрын
I had dreadlocks for 2 years which was my favourite protective style. The dreadlocks really helped stretch my hair and make my roots grow faster. When I took them out, I do this braid out to keep it stretched and when I braid I make sure to pull my hair (not violently lol) down so it stretches. I really recommend you find a protective hairstyle! xx
