Dear Ustadh, is it permissible to earn from youtube if we're making educational, religious etc videos? If We are using heavily filter on bad adds in addsense?

That is why addsense filter is for, brother. We walk on road & mall, we eat from grocery store, we have to go to universities to study & teach.Everywhere, anyone can dress improperly, there are billbords of badly dressed women, universities are full of this kinda scenarios & Music is also everywhere. Isn't it our Responsibility yo stay Away from all those vulgarity? As I am personally not putting anything vulgur on those content, and using filtered add to prevent As much as bad add possible, shouldn’t it be okay? I am surely not a scholar, that is why I am asking. I am really confused.

@@theetempest7386 Dear noble brother/sister, may Allah reward you abundantly for fearing Allah in this matter and asking a scholar to be sure. I hope the Ustadh somehow answers or makes a video about it, although as far as I know he does not run this KZbin channel himself.. If you allow, I may want to bring to your attention the following video of Sheikh Assim al-Hakeem, in which he basically said that you can do such a thing, if you have an agreement with KZbin to only show Halal adds, i.e. adds without women, music etc. Video name: Earning from KZbin by downloading or uploading videos - Sheikh Assim Al Hakeem On the website of Sheikh Salih a-Munajjid (islamqa dot info) it is also written in a Fatwa: Praise be to Allaah. The basic principle is that it is not permissible to sign up for these advertising programs [my note: the question was about Googel AdSense] unless one can be certain that the sites advertised are sound and are free of haraam things, because it is not permissible to advertise, promote or help to spread evil. Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning): “Help you one another in Al‑Birr and At‑Taqwa (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression. And fear Allaah. Verily, Allaah is Severe in punishment” [al-Maa’idah 5:2] And the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Whoever calls others to guidance will have a reward like the rewards of those who follow him, without that detracting from their reward in any way. And whoever calls others to misguidance will have a burden of sin like the burden of those who follow him, without that detracting from their burden in any way.” Narrated by Muslim in his Saheeh (4832). If the matter is as you describe, and most of the ads that will be placed on your site are for teaching languages and the like, then we hope that there will be nothing wrong with you signing up for this program, especially since you need the money. You have to block the ads that go against shar’i rulings. If you are unable to do that, and these ads appear on your site against your wishes, then you have to leave this service because otherwise you will be a partner in spreading and propagating haraam. We ask Allaah to provide for you by His bounty and to provide generously for you and your family, and to help you in your absence from home. And Allaah knows best. [End qoute] I pray to Allah that he blesses you and your team with Halal rizq and that He makes it easy for you. Maybe I should add one thing: The rizq of every person is already written down, i.e. what he will get of rizq in his lifetime. Now it is in ones own hand, whether that rizq is obtained in a Halal way, or a Haram way. The amount of rizq will not change, but its effects on the worldly life and the life of the hereafter will definately be affected by either choice - either with blessings and the pleasure of Allah, or the contrary. Maybe I should also make you aware of another fatwa on islamqa dot info, which is specifically about KZbin AdSense. In it is written: "...If most of the ads that accompany your clips are permissible ads, then we hope that there will be no sin on you for making money from these ads. But if that is not the case, then you have to stop offering this service, because then you will be participating in spreading and promoting sin. Please see the answer to question.."
