This is so awesome, and so well done. Morrowind lore is, to me, the most compelling in TES, and you've really done it justice here. The Battle of Red Mountain looked amazing! I finally bit the bullet and upgraded my game to get Ghosts of The Tribunal and this was a really great look into it. Honestly shocked this never came up in my recommended videos until I was looking up ALMSIVI today, this flew under the radar, unjustly IMO.

I don’t really think so, if you think about it the tribunals very existence can be seen as a reflection of there anticipations. The only difference with Mephala, Boethia and Azura is that they are at least honest with what they are while Vivic and Almylexia have this facade that they are better then their daedric counterparts. This can be see when Vivec doesn’t move the floating rock over vardenfell and Almyexia unleashing creatures upon her city just for her to be seen as a hero again. Both are selfish in there actions and ultimately the power they obtains while making them more knowledge then any mortal (with maybe the exception of Talos) along with more power it didn’t make them inherently wiser. At least for Sotha Sil (assuming all 3 killed Nerevar) he at least had a plan keeping his people inside the clockwork city safe even if he wasn’t around. And even though I like Sil more then the other to these 3 gods did deprive their population of reaching the same sort of enlightenment they got via a shortcut that there people aspired to have.

Great storytelling, in both writing and especially your visuals and broll. Taking the time to set up the scenes over narration really takes your production values to the next level. I used to naively consider Elder Scrolls lore to be a cheap knockoff of LOTR, or dollar store D&D. At least back in the day it seemed a lot of passion and thought went into building the world. Thanks for the glimpse into one of the many facets. Well done! Subbed.

Caius Cosades was a doppleganger from Mehrunes dagon sent to take out the Red Tower. Him being recalled was due to the Empire discovering him. The first three games all led up to Oblivion. Morrowind and Battlespire were most overt, but all of them had some allusions. Dagon was coming, and he's been planning this since day one.
@K1ngCraft7 ай бұрын
I've never heard this before. Source?
@eyesack68457 ай бұрын
@@K1ngCraft My source is that I made it the f*ck up. It's loosely based on some things micheal kirkbride said, and some stuff that happens in the comics that makes it pretty clear that Caius knows more than he lets on. Not to mention the Tharn dopplegangers infiltrating every level of imperial authority. It wasn't just the emperor that was imprisoned. A legion dedicated to finding these dopplegangers was active as of Morrowind. Who knows how deep it goes?

@@K1ngCraft The ESO lore is most certainly relevant! Amalexia played a massive role during the Ebonheart Pact storyline. Vivek was one of the key players during the entirety of the Morrowind expansion and we literally were dealing with the Clockwork City and its messes in order to help Sotha Sil during the Clockwork City DLC. Unless I am wrong and the video wasn't supposed to be a lore video going over the history of the Tribunal and I just got it wrong. In which case I apologize and concede that I was wrong. If the tribunal did not know that they could harness the power of the heart till months later then why did they betray Nerevar? Woo! It's here! And it's really flipping cool! I like the style, it's like if FudgeMuppet were more cinematic, the characters, set pieces, voice over, and all. Really sweet. My only constructive criticism is that your prose needs a bit of work. For instance, at 40:14. "A guard like all the rest, standing guard at his station...." You don't need both. Either remove the second half or, if you think this section flows best with it, replace one of the "guards" with another word. "A guard like all the rest standing idly at his station," or something like that. This is the kind of you just get better at with experience. The rest of that paragraph sounds great. Question, why did you choose to show the Nerevarine rather than keep him more vague visually? It makes total sense to keep him visually similar to Nerevar, but be careful about Julan or Qa'Dojetta hearing about it....
@K1ngCraft2 жыл бұрын
I appreciate the feedback on the script. A first for me really. - Like FUDGEMUPPET? High praise, thank you! As for the Nerevarine I didn't think about "hiding" him so viewers can "insert their vision" of what the nerevarine looks like for them. Which might of been a better choice now that I think about it. I tried to make him look like the most "generic"Nerevarine I could think of. The default Dunmer from the Morrowind character creation screen came to mind haha.
