Kid with the glasses is my second cousin. He had a brother who wound up joining the Spanish Cobras. They made it out of the street wars but his brother the former cobra died in September 2022. Thanks for the video

King Kobra came to California from Chicago. I was raised in Bell Gardens in the 70s. I remember seeing them fight against another gang in early 70s.

The Bishops was a gang with potential to grow. Sadly things went where the went and are now just a small local Pilsen gang

In those days we weren’t interested in future growth of the group, it was more about hanging out, getting buzzed, and the girls in the neighborhood. Nobody was into hard drugs just yet, just drinking and smoking weed. All the harder stuff came a few years later. I think all we really cared about was survival and manning our hood. It was all good times until things got real as we matured. So many people, Bishops and our fellow affiliates throughout the neighborhood, never made it out alive.

Met some of the younger Bishops recently. I'll give them props, they still hold it down and rep the B with pride. And surprisingly didn't smoke or drink, just hustle. In a way, it's probably better that they stayed local and selective about their members instead of becoming oversaturated with fakes and wannabes like the GDs and Kings did
