I made this last night and it brought back such amazing memories of my sweet Mother in law Sebastian’s Santapaola! She was from Melilli and I loved her so. Holiday memories came flooding back of the years making this, sphingi, banucata, cannoli’s and other amazing holiday deserts.. Ricotta pie too. My kids are so excited I made it. They can’t wait to try it. Thank you

I have been looking for this recipe for a while and I am so delighted to finally find your video. Growing up in Syria, my mother uses to love a type of icecream with chunks of almond croccante in it and also we used to buy a chocolate covered almond croccante. So I am going to follow your recipe and dip some of the chunks in chocolate. Thanks for sharing it😊😊😊

This looks amazing, Joe!! I'm going to make it tomorrow! Also, I think this would be a really unique and popular dessert to bring to a potluck! It's so quick to make, so it's perfect for when you forget you needed to bring something 😂 Grazie come sempre!!

Do you know if I could make this with Swerve which is a sugar substitute? I’m on Keto so I can’t have real sugar. I’m literally drooling right now lol.

Hey Joe, I was just wondering if I could make this with sliced or slivered almonds... With all due respect, I value my teeth more than what I am sure is a delicious recipe! Lol 😂❤👍

The worst Terronne that is definitely not Sicilian have ever made. I wanted to try your recipe and can't tell you enough how horrible it was. I am Sicilian born there and a great baker. When I saw you were using butter, it was a red flag, but my curiosity took the best of me. I couldn't serve it my to my company. It was an absolute failure. Who ever will make this recipe, do not add butter and the lemon juice whatsoever. If you decide to have a lemony touch to your torrine, just finally grate some only. No water also... it's not suppose to be camerlized whatsoever, it will stick to your teeth and gums and hard to take remove from your teeth. Very painful. By the way, cane sugar has been in Sicily ever since I remember as we have cane sugar plants that where used to make cannoli to shape the the shells and also, for candied fruits, both attributed to Arab confectioners, became popular in Sicily way before your grandmother was born. It upsets me to know, people use fake recipes saying it's from their Nonna that are not real to entice the audience just to sell their products. Please make sure you get your information right before giving false information to the audience. It's upsetting honestly because people will be wasting their time and products! You can see that it is stuck on your teeth and goes with Nothing at all, but broken teeth and gums.
