You are sooo considerate and an amazing woman overall.. I really appreciate you, the fact that you actually care about our ears so you don’t make us suffer through the high noises and you just skip over the scene is honestly the single greatest thing any channel can do.. I have my headphones 🎧 on and usually get startled when high noise suddenly hits 😅

Hi Renea. I kept shouting that you are forgetting the cranberries but I guess you could not hear me LOL! At least you remembered when all was said and done! ps: you seemed to have forgotten to add the cranberries to the recipe too LOL!! Everything looked great. The one cereal I use is Crispix-one side is rice and the other is corn (or wheat) I can't remember, but it is a cool shape and adds character to a snack mix. The tea towels are lovely and handmade with love--does not get any better than that--a great gift! Have a blessed day.

You could make it your own. I wish we had mkt stands here in the south. The breads and goodies that you make look so good. Good luck with yours!

I keep a pre-mixed “jug” of the cereal mix handy. When I get a craving, I put a small amount in the microwave and cook it according to the instructions. I’m the only one who eats it, so it works out fine. If I think it’s going to get stale, I vacuum pack it in half gallon mason jars 😊

Hi Renea & John! Great video! I usually make the snack mix in the fall. I also put crunchy cheetos, corn nuts, cheezits, shoestring potatoes and croutons in mine. I also use probably a bottle and a half of worcestershire sauce and approx a 1/4 to a 1/3 cup of garlic powder if not more to the melted butter. I bake it in a 22 qt roaster pan and my family absolutely loves it. It takes quite some time to bake but is so worth it in the end. Thanks for sharing!

Lol😂because it’s late ⏰…well it’s 7oclock! Heck I was beating my granddaughter to bed some nights when I was there helping out and she’s only 1 year old! My daughter would take her up to the bathtub and I’d clean up the dishes and make a cup of tea and up to bed I’d head and I’d lay down and every bone in my body and muscle would be just throbbing and I’d have a smile on my face because I had been working from Dawn til dusk just doing anything I could to help out their sweet home. Exhaustion is a wonderful feeling at times. Unfortunately my grandbaby is in hospital at the moment with pneumonia and id give anything to feel that physical exhaustion I’m just praying she will be well and back home soon. I’m going back to stay with them for a few days so mom and dad can get caught up on sleep because they sure haven’t been sleeping much while in hospital by her side. Thank you for making me laugh and the kiss in the kitchen was so sweet it reminded me of my sweetheart.

An idea you may want to try. I make a lot of this at Christmas as gifts and I also use my big stainless-steel bowl to mix it it. I then use the same big bowl to put in my oven and bake it right in that. I bake mine for about 1 hour on 250 stirring every 15 mins. Works perfectly.

Have you ever made Fire Crackers for your Market Stand. I bet they would sell very well too. They are so easy to make. Just a box of saltines, dry ranch packet, red pepper flake, and cooking oil. You can also make them with the little oyster crackers. I like them with the saltines better though. I bet they would sell like hotcakes!

I make all kinds of granola bars. I slip oat bran, wheat bran, & wheat germ in them. I have a Quaker knock off recipe for the base which has the oats, rice crispies, mini marshmallows & all the wet, then throw in whatever I have, chocolate chips, pb chips, all kinds of raisins, etc. I use a second jelly roll pan to press them in really hard so they stay together when I cut them.

@@LittleVillageHomestead Here’s the base “copy cat Quaker chewy granola bars” recipe. I’ll add all the variations at the end. 1. Preheat oven 350. Line jelly roll pan with parchment paper. 2. In a saucepan, low heat, melt 1 stick of salter butter & 1/2 cup of honey. (If using unsalted-add 1/4 tsp salt)Let simmer 2 mins. 3. While butter/honey melting:spray big daddy bowl with cooking spray(spatula too!) Add 4c rolled oats, 1 1/2 to 2 c Rice Krispies, 1 to 2 cups mini choc chips, 1-2c mini marshmallows (the chips & marshmallows are what holds the bars together, so you’ll increase those based on your add ins, same with butter & honey. You want everything coated well. It’s just like doubling your recipe the more you add in.) 4. Pull butter/honey off burner & add 1-2 tsp of vanilla(I make my own & we love it, I don’t measure, just dump😂). Let mixture cool slightly. 6. Pour over dry ingredients. Using sprayed spatula, mix everything well. Spread into lined pan. Top with a few more chips. Use a second jelly roll pan to pack it down tightly. 5. Bake at 350 15 mins. Variations/add ins: 1/2 cup wheat germ, 1/2 cup oat bran, 1/2 cup wheat bran, raisins, Craisins/slivered almonds/coconut/vanilla sugar(I keep a 1/2 gallon jar on hand), pecans, sunflower seeds, cinnamon/sugar, pb chips/dark choc chips, coco krispies. I buy all those things in bulk from the Amish store. I add the germ & bran in every batch, then pick flavors for the week. I don’t suggest “chunky monkey” I used my dehydrated bananas, they got gross.

Pb choc chip bars: liquid part is 1.5 sticks of butter, 1/2 c pb, 1/2 c honey, then I add 1-2 tablespoons of peanut oil to thin the pb so it melts nicer. You just melt that mixture- no simmer. Add in vanilla. Same base recipe, add ins pb chips, dark choc chips, peanuts
