I was 7 and we had driven 3 hours to go and pick up a special chocolate point for my sisters birthday. We were about halfway home when my mom turned around and the Kitten popped her head out of my shirt 😜. Hey, as someone whose cat made it to 21, they do just fine until the last mont or so, then it goes downhill quickly. Please, make as many good memories, take as many photos, record as many videos as you can, because one day, those will be the only things left that nobody will take away. Try to spend as much time with her as possible, because when she'll be gone, you'll probably regret not paying enough attention to her (that was my case).

My brother moved out and got a 18 year old foster cat who had a kidney disease and was blind in one eye, he is such a trooper and he always lifts up my brothers spirits. He was fostering it for a person who was living out of their car at the moment, after a year the original owner let my brother keep him. Love ya peanut! 🥜

My cat has arthritis and sometimes I worry that she's suffering, but then she does zoomies with my young cat and will jump up onto the counter and the dryer and of course she darts out the front door every single opportunity she gets so I guess she is doing pretty good

My Bob is 21 and he's quite the scrapper still. Gets the zoomies, demands his treats vehemently, and loves being cuddled all day. Edit: Thank you for the Bob love! He's quite the character, especially for his age. When he's not inhaling his treats, prowling the front bushes pretending to be a jungle kitty, booping faces for forehead kisses, or curled up in my lap, he enjoys attaching himself to my shoulder and being ubered around the house while I do chores one handed. He especially enjoys being sung the Bob Bob song while we putter around which is literally any song with all the words replaced with his name😅.

That’s amazing!! We adopted a “4 year old cat” with a heart murmur from the shelter, but every time we took him to the vet their estimate of his age got older (up to 12-15 😮) and his prognosis got worse 😢 - he passed away in his sleep after only a year and a half with us, but it was a very special time with him nonetheless

​@@bonnie1303 ​ - It was obviously meant to be. Im glad your friend had a loving home and family with you. I'm a great advocate for adopting seniors. I kind of got into it that same way. I adopted a "5 year old dog" who almost instantly started to go gray. LOL My vet was terrible at estimating age, too. My current cats are now 15, 14, 12 and 8. Cats are living longer these days, thank goodness.
