Once during a winter trip to a place with sleigh dogs, my father was all pissed at me and very aggressive. I walked away and knelt in the snow to pet one of the huskies to calm down. My father had followed me and was still frustrated and yelling at me. The pack of dogs got up and all growled at him, baring their teeth until he backed away. My father got then pissed at the dog trainer but he told him "My dogs know when someone needs protection and they never growl without a reason. You should consider stop bullying children, mate." Those good doggos and their trainer are some of the only people who ever protected me from my father. Forever my heroes ❤

My childhood cat started growling at a wall at one spot, even attacking the spot. My dad cut into the wall, turned white, ordered us out of the house, and called emergency services. Gas leak. One tiny spark, and the house would have gone up in flames. I was out in the pasture, doing repairs to a fence. Enchantment, our angus cow, charged me. My horse, Dawn barreled out of nowhere. I’ve never seen a cow turn that fast or that fast before. Dawn stayed by me while I finished the repair to the fence.

Even after 55 years I will never forget and there will always be a special place in my heart for the fearless war dogs and their brave handlers in the Vietnam war June 67 to June 68 2nd Corps Qui-Nhon, Pleiku, these dynamic duo's of man and dog saved thousands of us from severe injury and worse with warnings when out there that there is danger in the vicinity, and till this day it still brings tears to my eye's

I just wanted to say, we need animals. Animals are comforting, kind, and have feelings too. My five dogs, were very hype until three of my dogs died. I will never forget when we lived in a 2 bedroom basement apartment. One night a robber broke in, but into the wrong bedroom. In the bedroom was our Great Dane, an Australian sheepdog and a slightly feral cat. Hearing the commotion, we saw him trying to leave with the Dane holding onto his buttocks, the other dog holding his ankle and the on his back scratching his face. We called the animals off and told the police to check hospitals and clinics for someone with scratches and bite marks. No one ever attempted to break in again. Guess word got around of our protection.

9:19 actually this guy was dying of cancer and he only had like hours left to live so his doctors let him return to his stable and say goodbye to his horse before he died. Just thought that like me useful information for the future.

when i was on holiday as a teenager and was heartbroken, i went out in the night and went to the beach, sat there and cried. all the dogs from the village came to me, sat by my side in love and silence to comfort and protect me. they are amazing beautiful beings. often they are like angels.

Our oldest cat used to chase coyotes, raccoons, and dogs away from our yard. He died 2 weeks ago. Now we make sure our other 2 cats are inside before dark, and very watchful for coyotes, they come in the yard now.

May they rest in peace. I lost my "baby boy" this past year. He was courageous and fearless. Be careful if you live in such an area because it only takes one screw up on the part of a cat to get eaten by a coyote.

Our kitty died of old age. He was 15, we still have 2 cats, a dog, and my other baby. I won't let them out past sunset. There is a pack of dogs around here now. They are more dangerous than coyotes

The cow was right to be aggressive many times farmers take the babies away or do things that hurt them (tagging etc) and the mother can't understand that, especially if she's used to having babies pulled off of her- cows have very strong bonds with their babies more so than some other farm animals like sheep but all mother-child bonds are important and should be respected.

We had to give our dog to my moms friend and she abused him and we didn’t know until my mom went to visit and his eye was missing bc she punched it out and he got taken away from us and a few years later we think we find him but the eye was on the other side so it wasn’t him and we actually found him in Canada but the owner won’t give him back we loved him with all our heart we named him snow bc his fur reminds us of winter

Before I was born, my parents got a dog in Africa, and when I was in my mother’s stomach, my dog protected her 😂and the funny thing is, he growled at my dad! Even though he knew he was the alpha, he still protected my mom. He was an awesome dog. Unfortunately he died in the summer of 2020.
