It may be more accurate to model the 1775 Continentals as something of an unknown, with varying strength points according to random die rolls or cards, instead of reducing them straightaway to the status and strength of militia.

I like area games in general, but this one with two maps seems unnecessarily large. Seems like you could have consolidated some of the areas and produced the same effect on a one-mapper. Just my overall impression without haven't played the game -- or even seen it laid out before -- so I could be mistaken. I'd like to see another of your excellent videos, Gilbert, on how this game plays.

I have no doubt that the game could have been made into a 'one mapper'. However, I must admit by doing it in a larger format the problem of over stacking in small areas has largely been alleviated. In SPI's 1972 version the map is much smaller than what we have today but it is an excellent game. However, the small map can get a bit crowded at times, especially in areas like the Lake Champlain corridor.

Counter clutter can be easily handled by off-map holding boxes which you can make yourself. To me that's preferable to adding an entire second map. I'll reserve judgement on the game until I see your "how to play" video (nudge, nudge, hint, hint).

Is the rev war game you designed available somewhere?

Yes, this game came out several months ago and is available at: www.compassgames.com. I have another game coming out during the 1st quarter of 2024 called "The Kaiser's High Seas Fleet - World War I at Sea. Thanks for watching.
