Almost | A Short Film On A Breakup | Ankush Bahuguna & Shibani Bedi

My latest passion project that I've been working on. Anyone who has ever dated someone for a long time and then broken up would relate with this. Heartbreaks are real and this is my take on it. And I bet you haven't ever seen Shibani Bedi and me like this. FYI, we shot this in exactly 11 minutes over a phonecall. All of what you see is us being in that moment.

The moment she asks him to wait for 2 minutes,A whole flood of emotions ran inside of me,and I am crying rn as I type this. I wish she would have also asked me to stop just like her. I wish she wouldn't have had talked badly to me all these while. I knew, even at that moment & even rn that she loves me,the same way I do. But all my insecurities and fear led me to where we are today. She might be thinking rn that how easily I had let her go. Being in a long distance relationship takes a lot of patience, courage and trust to cope up with. Many boys dont know how simple a girl's mind is. From this 6 minutes..what I understood that girl is clearly in love with him and really want to be with him and somewhere still hoping that he stop her to do this breakup and convince her that it's not a right thing to do. She really wants that he should try bcz she did already and it didn't work. May b she wants him to love her and express his love and emotions in certain way but she is not able to really express and communicate this message to him...and could not do it in all those attempts she made. 8 years or any significant amount of years can make u overthink about lot of things which were not right which can make u think that person is not right for you. Moments like these needs to handle with extreme love and care. Other person will have to show that love and care which existed in initial phase of relationship. Love is full of emotions feelings and it's very important to express as it is as we feel inside. But most of the time we fail to do it and it becomes a mess after sometime and we name it "complicate". We don't know how to express our emotions right bcz we don't do it often or daily..bcz no one teach us.. or even if we try and do..you will always find someone who will shut you down. We should encourage our kids..and every one around you to express what they feeling very often.. that might bring some changes in our life for long run. (Not sure how from this vedio I reached to this analysis but it makes sense to me)

breakups are tough, the last conversation is the one that on the face of it looks like it is for the best which it might be but they are the most vulnerable and you get all sorts of feeling at that moment about how things are going to be, but in reality, you have no idea how to cope up with memories with songs and things attached to that one person you loved the most. It is really difficult to let go of that person emotionally and to accept the fact that you won't be a part of their life anymore and one day maybe they will replace you with someone. But as time passes you shed them bit by bit every day. You are left with reminiscent of them. Just don't be captive of your past.

Sometimes, just Love is not enough for a relationship to work. The fact that they've been together for 8 years and they've tried to make it work before means this is not the first time they're having this discussion and they probably have had every other version of this, in anger, in hatred, in blaming each other, in cussing each other, pointing out each other's mistakes and telling what they had expected and what the other one should've done. But despite all that when your anger eventually subsides and you begin to miss them you tend to give it another try because you realize that you didn't really mean all those things you said and so does the other person and it was just your anger speaking. And then you try to express your real emotions and what exactly hurt you and how you can avoid it in the future. Its only after going through all of that a few times you come to a point where these two have come, you don't fight anymore, you don't blame, you don't curse. I had one such brkup over the call, we reconciled when we were in front of each other but something was a miss n I was still holding on to him n me as us. I could not hv the courage to let it all go, but then he said it n I cried a lot after that. For over a month had all kind of breakdown but eventually I came out of it. N now I feel nothing for him coz he was casinova n I wanted a sincere relationship. Could not hv forgiven him my whole life. So it was better not to hv such relationship. Even I was in a long term relationship and we started dating since we were kids and as we grew we had different opinions and wasn't sure if i should continue with it or breakup...because it was 7 long years but finally I decided to tell him and things were bad initially but with time things have been better we have been friends after few years of breakup and now we are there for each other and help each other grow.
