Almost banned from Nicaragua!

Every time I cross a border, the most challenging part it organising Wombat’s paperwork. This time, I had to complete it in the capital more than 300km away from the border. But when the permit was ready to be issued, I found out it could only have 10 days validity… this added a major time pressure that turned out to be a blessing in disguise!

Hi Lucy! We just came over to your channel after seeing your Fuego Volcano hike on Mike's channel. We're so impressed with your goal to walk the length of earth. That is quite a feat! We lived in Costa Rica for 2 months and Nicaragua for a year and a half so we were keen to see how you went in those countries. That was fortunate that you were able to cross the border when you did. Border crossings are always so stressful even without the extra constraints of travelling by foot with an animal. It took us a month to travel from the border of Costa Rica to San Jose by bus. Doing it by foot in 10 days must have been a real stretch! Just a suggestion - if you could shoot in landscape mode, that would allow people to see the background more. We would have loved to see the scenery more to see if there was anywhere we recognised along the way.
