Profesional painter here! You're probably seeing paint "flashing". Flashing is an uneveness in sheen that you will be able to see in certain lighting or at certain angles. It is caused by letting the wall dry completely and then only painting a part of the wall again, thus creating an uneveness of sheen. Black is also a finicky color to paint with because it has alot of pigment in it that needs to be mixed, so it's more prone to flashing. The solution to get rid of the flashing would be to paint the sections of the wall between the trim pieces again, cutting in and rolling while the cut in is still wet. Or you could paint the whole wall and the trim pieces all in one swoop again. The key is to take it one wall at a time and make sure the trim pieces and wall are wet at the same time. I hope that makes sense. Either way, it's probably going to be a little bit of a pain and depends on how committed to perfection you are. I hope this helps! Also, no matter what I'm sure the finished wall looks great! 💪😊

If it tasted like cinnamon, it could be a Greek sauce recipe. My Yaiya put Cinnamon in her pasta sauce and brown gravy. I am Greek and Italian so I grew up with both flavor profiles. All were very delish!

I've been to Boccali's many times! Love it! You must try the tomato salad when it's in season. I've never noticed an odd taste In their sauce. They have 2 locations-we go to the one in Ojai.

Boccali's Pizza?!?! I hope you got the Strawberry Short Cake if that is where you went! I grew up eating that pizza. The best one was in Oak View. If you haven't tried Casa de Lago you have to, but the one in Oak View not the one in downtown Ojai.
