Whoever came up with Maris’ character concept and the endless possibilities as to why she ‘couldn’t make it’ was just brilliant. The show producers saved a ton of money ‘not paying’ anyone to play that character and even if that person had appeared, it never would have been as funny! That is the brilliance of writing but also of delivery by Niles/Frasier/Martin!

It was thirty days going through all eleven seasons and recording the footage. Two hundred and eighteen clips of footage however I had to re record about fifteen clips because I messed them up. It was three hours of raw footage and I shaved about an hour off it. I then had to render it (each render took about six hours) eighteen times each time triggering youtube copyright so I then had to edit it further removing the parts that did trigger it while maintaining the jokes. sp thats one hundred and eight hours of rendering, I probably spent fifteen hours editing it. Frasier's run time is twelve hours and thirty minutes so about fourteen hours given all the re records. So in total it was one hundred and thirty seven hours of work. ...Jesus christ thats the first time I actually calculated that.

For sheer laughs, I'd have to go with Bla-Z-Boy (sp?). I don't even watch the B story, I just think Martin has some of his best lines ever in that episode, especially when he illustrates that he does indeed know the difference between accidental and deliberate. And then the irony of the recreated chair now being the most expensive piece in the entire eclectic apartment. I even like the silly little exachange between Niles and Frasier about the existence of a new shade of Berber carpet.

Very glad you think so, this video took the most work of all my frasier videos so far.

I love that you did this, thank you! Frasier is my fave of all series, I watch some of the reruns almost every day. I do wish you had incl CCs in this as there are parts I can’t catch what they’re saying, it’s frustrating.

I suppose I could. I don't really know how to though so I would have to learn so don't expect it any time soon. I'm also currently working on remaking it along with all my other compilations and also making new ones. (About twenty) so I might add them at upload to those videos.

No one else could have played Niles other than David Hyde Pierce, he was so good.

No wonder they couldn’t have found an actress to play Maris😂

By the end I'm not even sure you could have had an animated Maris live up to the stories

Love the invisible characters. Pickles on Dick van Dyke, Vera on Cheers, Howard's mother on Big Bang, Steinbrenner on Seinfeld.

And Maris didn’t even get a voice!

Actually Pickles did appear in at least one episode of Dick van Dyke episode. Buddy and Pickles are in a restaurant having dinner with Rob and Laura. They have finished eating but rather than dessert, Laura orders a cafe au lait. Pickles orders the same -- "but without the milk."

One of my greatest faults is yearning to be loved as Niles loves Daphne. (Jane Austen never held that degree of appeal 🤣.)

Everyone talks about how David Hyde-Pierce looks like Kelsey Grammer. I think he looks more like a malnourished Stephen Collins unfortunately. 😆
