Daphne Moon, what a treasure 😂 there is no Frasier without Daphne. I'm telling you Frasier had one of the greatest supporting casts in television history. Frasier, Niles, Daphne, Martin, Roz, Eddie, Bulldog, Bebe, Kenny, Gil, and Noel were indispensable. The show wouldn't have worked if anyone was missing. Perfection!

Daphne Moon is an excellent character to have on Frasier. Brings a "get real" sense of perspective along with Martin Crane to offset the Hoity-Toity lifestyle of Frasier and Niles. Those stories she would spout on about at the right times to warm up the audience for the next scene. They even started treating this event like a special moment (in later seasons of the show). Like the part when Martin says " Is she done ?" or the oddball looks from the Crane men as the story unfolds when Daph starts/stops talking.

Jane was the perfect role for Daphne. She delivered those crazy lines with just the right amount of naivety. And when the room is looking at her questionably, she’s on her merry way with her day to day stuff. Just perfect. That said, what always gives me the giggles is that the writers of the show probably came up with half of the stories. But the other half usually based on stuff that actually happened to the writers or within their circle. I remember a documentary about Seinfeld where they brought up this subject. Funniest thing is figuring out which half is actually true, lol.

Well, her character was born and brought up in Manchester, so most of it rings true. The same could be said about Liverpool or Newcastle. I served in the British Army alongside lads from those cities; and they were as mad as a box of frogs.

My main reaction to her was always, "That's a weird Manchester accent!", but, in Jane Leeves's defence, she said that she auditioned with a much broader Manc accent and no on understood what she was saying. (She is from Essex.) The weird thing is that John Mahoney, who played Marty Crane, actually was from Manchester.

Cannot tell you how many actors have been deprived of a statue (Emmy or Oscar, etc) over the decades when they truly deserved it. Same for goes for TV series; really, how can your sitcom (even if it's great) stand a chance against Modern Family or Frasier when they kept getting the gold year after year? :D And don't start me on sympathy for those guys at the Emmy Awards who had been nominated for Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series while Don Knotts was playing Barney Fife. He owned that category several years in a row. (He was great, of course; not arguing that.) The people who choose nominees are often daft, frankly. I mean, come on, Harriet Samson Harris never got _one_ nod as guest star for her portrayal of diabolical agent Bebe Glaser?!?? Boggles the mind.

Stacking on a plate the toast is ample to fall off significantly more easily. The heat will also be significantly more inconsistent in the pile of toast due to its rising properties where as here the toast is secured and all evenly exposed.

Of all the main characters, for me she is/was the weakest and the most annoying! First, she was unstable and the slightest thing would set her off. Second, that Cockney accent is like nails on a chalkboard! Third, she brings nothing comedic to the table, her lines are all insulting and her punchlines are all based on her not getting/understanding something. Finally, what in the hell does a smart Dr. like Niles see in her? There are SO many actresses that could have been so much better in this role. I heard Rosie Perez was considered....THAT would have been fantastic!
