I think most ppl would prefer a slightly less than perfect button than a cutout. Cool case. Also looks awesome on that natural titanium iPhone 🔥

I am one of those most ppl, I can not stand a cutout for any buttons on my phone, I bought a supcase for the waiting time before the company I prefer makes a camera control button

I have this case in clear on my 16 Pro Max, and it has been a godsend. The sensitivity adjustments in accessibility (for the camera button) further improved that experience for the case as well. I'm currently switching between this and the Spigen Hybrid (with their approach) to maintain protection and functionality of the new iPhone.

Just bought this case and love it. The camera control works well for me. I prefer the flat sides on the case next to the rounded sides.

Saw this on my recommended. Immediately added it to my Amazon cart. I’ll also be buying the phone Rebel Flex, I’m currently using the spigen C1. Honestly just like using random cases

Side note- why do so many case companies include the lanyard holes? Don’t think I’ve ever seen someone use a lanyard on their phone 😂

I personally only buy cases with lanyard holes. comes in handy in the winter for peace of mind when using phones on the ski lift. ;)

For me the Camera Control not being sensitive enough while zooming was the dealbreaker for me.. I like the case overall but had to sent it back because of the CC

Manually adjust the camera control sensitivity to “lighter” in the accessibility settings

Shouldn’t have to do that though. I’m confident that brands will refine their cases and make them with the correct sensitivity, now that they actually have the phones in hand.

It's really unfair to be critical of the ones that actually used the button bc they had to figure it out without help from Apple. Honestly even if it's not perfect they should be praised as they tried, instead of taking the cheap way out like lots of the "top" OEMS did.

I agree. I recommended the case. If they just made the sensitivity up a little bit higher, it would’ve been perfect. They took a risk and tried it, which is a lot more than what other companies did.

Natural color is okay but last year’s color. Rocking the desert storm color with the Uag desert digis case for a case desert combo

the copper rods work for the camera control, just not as well as the crystal and conductive coatings Apple uses on their cases. the only thing I'd worry about with the copper rods is they might scratch the phone's outer shells when putting the cases on and off. though Supcase says it shouldn't be an issue because copper isn't that hard of a material.

I just ordered this in the clear smoke version with the magstand ring option for my 16 pro in desert. should be interesting to see how it looks. I would have gotten clear but i worry about the coating turning yellow sadly, hence going for smoke clear option.

It's not completely perfect (I have to UB Mag clear case for the iPhone 16 Plus), but it's still better than having an awkward cutout like you see with some really expensive cases.

Many clear cases will because they’re polycarbonate. It’s not too bad on here though.

the camera control button on that case looks to be a bit protruding which could be better to prevent shakes when pressing the button to take a photo.

Great video! Do you think that the copper pins on the camera control button can cause any physical damage to the button itself? Whether it be in scratches from wear, or if you were to drop the phone in just the right spot, could the pins possibly jam into the button? I just want to make sure that the copper pins won’t cause any damage to the phone itself. Thanks!

Haha thank you. Before I used the caliper, people would always ask if it’s thicker than this case or that case or just how thick it was in general. So I ended up buying the caliper so someone can look at the video and see the thickness, then go to another video and compare. Plus it’s nice to see when comparing 2 cases in one video.

Good review! Not really happy with most cases on the market and the way they handled the camera control button. I bought this Supcase Unicorn Beetle case in black, and the Stand Dark version which has a dark frosted or tinted color and the magsafe circle pulls out to be used as a stand. I actually like the version with the stand better, the dark clear plastic looks great, I'll see how it holds up over time. I just made a quick video review of the Rhinoshield Mod NX which was my favorite case on the iPhone 14 Pro Max, and I'm really disappointed with the changes they made to that case, and the way they handled the camera control button. This is the first time I've bought a case from Supcase, but so far happy with it. Still waiting on the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T to ship, will see how that compares!

Hi, I got the same case as you. It is not bad, however I wish the sides had some texture like the caseology transparent series. For the price it is ok. I want to try that Spigen Ultra Hybrid T as well, but in I cannot get this in Germany.

This case works OK, but unfortunately, it shows wear far too quickly on the back ring and ends up looking like trash. I’ve already switched it out.

That’s a good question. I don’t think the swiping motions will work, but the button clicks will.

@@Brians_tech thanks for the reply. I use my phone to take pics from my motorcycle all the time and was curious. I just bought the Supcase Beetle Grip partly based on your video. I actually did not even pay attention to a case having a cut out or not until I stumbled across your review so thanks for pointing that out. I will try it with gloves and report back.
