Ye bro, I've done the same thing long time ago. Genius and super-easy way. Wanted some fancy looking flare, so downloaded png from shutterstock and changed opacity a little bit!

sorry if this is really simple but can you make a tutorial for a stationary enemy turret. i want it to shoot only in one direction its facing when i place it but i cant seem to do it correctly.

What code did you use to make the light follow the player??

In this example I have one obj_light_radial_followplayer, that simply updates/follows in it's step event the position of the player. Step event of the light: x = obj_player.x; y = obj_player.y; Was that what you were looking for?
