Thorin, when vengeur talked about Serious Sam I think he meant multiplayer. It was heavily inspired by Quake and there was a deathmatch mode which people also played TDM and Duel in. I played it for years in the 2000s myself. 3rd person was available with the press of a button so everyone used it which probably wasn't ideal, but it was fun nonetheless. Really nice to see Vengeur happy and really excited, talking about Quake. Also 1:07:35 it's interesting Rapha said the same about Cyher, he has such a flow to the game, it's very pleasing to the eye of the spectator.

48:10 Oh no, this is not good comparison QUake - Formula 1 at all. In Formula 1 20 drivers are driving, but millions are competing to get into F1. Those millions dedicate whole their life since like being 4y old, their parents very often sell all they have just to finanse their kids to improve their racing skills, buy better gokarts etc etc. WHile in QUake there is like only 7 real pro players with sponsors etc, 3 other top level players that are (were) in QPL, but they have a normal job, and maybe like 10-20 other ppl, who have normal job, and play quake on a more casual side, but are just very good compared to other 1000 player base, so they can "compete" in QPL qualifiers, but is is more like a pretending to compete, as we all know that top 10 is almost set in stone in QUake, maybe 2 places can be replaced in qualifires.
