"Almost" 뻔하다 & 거의 | Live Class Abridged

You can use either one to mean the same thing.

How can you explain 거의 죽을 뻔 했어요. ? It does not sound on purpose. Do I and other Korean use this incorrectly in Grammar?

You're not using it incorrectly :D Only the 뻔하다 form shows it was unintentional, and 거의 doesn't add that meaning. In that sentence (and many others that have both 거의 and 뻔하다) 거의 is only used to show "almost" as an adverb - without showing by that it was unintentional.
