I had to go it alone right away. I waa terrified at first but the fear left pretty quick. Get yourself in some traffic to get the feel of cars around you. You will find it doesn't really feel all that different from driving your car. Just be sure you have a clear path ahead of you by keeping to lane 1 and 3 especially while stopped behind a car. I was bad at turning myself for a bit until it just clicked for me. I realized I was focusing so much on when to counter steer or not. One day I just left it to feeling and it worked. Now after a year I have 3500 miles under my belt. Would have been more but live in MN. Ride safe!

Doing great. A few observations. Yes, you need to practice right turns more than left. They are the hard ones, especially right from a stop sign. You seem to be a little to perfect on the throttle from a stop. It sounds good an its useful when trying not to wake your neighbors, but your on the edge of stalling. Your using both the clutch and the throttle to accelerate. It also has your brain trying to balance 2 separate controls while turning an worrying about cross traffic. But the main thing is you dont have instant if power something happens an you need to take off. Give it way more throttle. Make some real noise out of the engine. That brings all the power of the engine in to play. Then accelerate away with the clutch alone nice an slow. All you have to think about is letting the clutch out slow an smoothly. Only one control is being moved an you cant stall. It sounds wrong at first. But once you get use to babying the clutch not the throttle, it will come together to be much smoother. You will be cracking the throttle right as you let off the clutch again but muvh harder, an being at the top of first gear about the time you get the clutch all the way out. You will also use that skill when doing tight U-turns. They are done with way more throttle than needed an controlling speed an lean angle with the clutch an rear brake. Clutch in a little, bike leans in an turns sharper. Clutch out a little, bike stands up some an goes wider. Your going rather wide on your low speed corners. Thats normal. I am guessing your not comfortable leaning that slow? That is natural. At speed, leaning in to a corner feels natural, you are being pushed in to the seat. Going slow, it feels like you will fall over. But the bike needs to lean over to turn. But just because it does, does not mean you do. At low speed you push the bike over an you lean the other way to stay upright yourself. Sense you have that parking lot, get some cones, or cut tennis balls in half. Put one at the end of every other parking space line in that parking lot, then weave through them. Push the bike left, the bike only leans left an you turn left, pull the bike up then push it down to the right. The weaving through cones should feel like a dance. You are leading. You direct the motorcycle what to do, an let it dance under you. Once you get the hang of it, put cones on every parking space line. Low speed skills are the hardest part of riding. Most motorcycles on the road cant do a cone weave or a U-turn. Quite a large percentage cant do a right hand turn from a stop without crossing the center line. They do it enough to pass the class or test an never again. Its much easier to just ride down the road. Low speed stuff requires practice. So most people dont do it. That lack of skill shows up on the road though. I can be following an motorcyclists for hours an usually cant tell if they have 5000 miles experience or 5 million. But I can tell you if they have spent time in a parking lot mastering low speed skills. The ones that haven't, get wobbly below 15 mph an make wide slow turns. The ones that do come to smooth stops an make sharp turns from a stop. Yes, never trust a car doing something odd. Had a car acting funny in front of me yesterday. Turned its flashers on an slowed to a stop in the middle of a right hand corner as sharp as that one. I was expecting them to pull off to the right, they just stopped. As I was stopping way behind them, they suddenly turned gassed it an turned left in to a driveway. Happened right as I was stopping an startled me. Almost dropped the bike. People do weird things.

Thanks for the comment! I did about 45 minutes of parking lot riding, just cut it out of the video since my last 3 videos were parking lot rides lol.

Great to see your progression! It gets easier and easier. One thing you could mess around with on the hill starts is to use just clutch and throttle to keep yourself from sliding backwards. Clutch and throttle control will make slow speed stuff more comfortable and easier.

12:54 i have the same problem then I realized that 10 mph speed is too low for that type of turn and I need to be at least at 15 mph and use countersteering and lean the bike on that turn instead of normal right turn at very low speed. I almost ended up on the opposite lane which was very dangerous. Fortunately, I knew that could happen that's why my first rides are always on Sunday early morning when the streets are empty. And I have to struggle to learn in a very dense city area.

Yes I definitely need to get more comfortable leaning the bike more into the turns. Just need more reps in. I'm grateful I'm able to learn in an area without a lot of traffic, but will hopefully be in town in traffic soon so I need to get used to that next haha. Thanks for the comment!
