Great video Mike! Lots of exciting moments during that adventure. That poor CRV is on its last leg it sounds like. May want to call it the Canadian Roasted Vehicle (CRV) because it's been roasted and toasted! 😅 I'm always surprised to see it still going everytime you post an offroad video, but hey, that's good stuff! Oh...and that butt clinching moment with the other TJ, I was laughing along with you guys. Be safe out there.

He actually just upgraded the rear diff in the CRV with one from a newer gen model so it’s going better than ever now

Good morning keep up the great content. We spoke about the issues with my Fox shocks. I saw a video and 23 Rubicon gladiator absent of Fox shocks. Something is up....

Thanks! Hmm that interesting, I’ve heard a few people actually saying that they don’t like how soft the fox shocks are in the rubicon maybe they’re getting a lot of people coming back with issues like you experienced on the Mojave

Did you put on those tailgate hinges? I need a pair any advice and would you go to a body shop for this or do it yourself? @16:45
@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
I did not. Mine are sagging and they don’t close unless you really pull up on the tire and tailgate to close it. I would attempt it myself personally but if you’re worried you might mess it up then worst case you drive TJ a body shop with the tailgate in the back seat lol no big deal

@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
Depends what you use it for. If it’s 80% pavement and 20% off road like my gladiator I would do an all terrain. If you do mostly off road like my TJ I would get a mud terrain

@@NEWFSTAH BFG KM3 tires may be a good option. My KO2 sucks in snow.
@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
There a lot of guys who cut their own sippes into km3 because of how bad they are in snow. They’re not winter rated. Ko2 once aired down are actually great in snow. I off road with guys that run them and it’s all about the driver.

Tall narrows snow tires will take you way farther in snow than wide mud tires .
@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
Have you even seen a arctic expedition rig? You want wide tires to float. The places we go the skinny tires cut through the snow and sink. There’s usually about 2-3 feet of snow where we are it just doesn’t look like it because it’s packed down over the season
@useryggfdcc Жыл бұрын
Scandinavian countries use skinny tires.
@SmokinMonkeyOG Жыл бұрын
Off roading and daily driving are two different things. Different surfaces. I watch tons of guys that drive and rip around Sweden and other countries in the area. They still plow the roads so you don’t get 2-3 foot deep snow on roads. Most of their roads are narrow and require plenty of maintenance otherwise nothing would be able to drive around. I’m talking about going off road into the woods and placed that don’t get any maintenance in the winter. Like I mentioned arctic explore and expedition vehicles all have giant ballon tires to not sink into the deep snow. Same theory for off roading. Look at the crv he has narrow ties and as soon as he slips it sinks
