Its typical that day finisher groups have everyone be a master at everything regardless of experience. Rodding, raking, cutting joints, brooming, stamping, setting up, etc. Because since finishers at times work for several different conctractors they gotta send in whoever they got. Yeah for the first few pours the laborer will do a bad job but they learn because 98% of what they do is pour & finish only. Everyday. Alot of the residential guys that work for a company have lead guys do the brooming cause it aint worth it to loose time on concrete trying to learn to certain aspects. If you want to get real good real fast is work with concrete a bit, become a day finisher. They finish nearly every single day so yeah you will get good compared to a company that might have 4-15ish pours a month. Ive been in this business for a long time since i was a kid. Ive met day finishers on their first day that within a year, 1 1/2 years they are running a part of that same finishing crew. Like they learn so much compared

Eric, you have came a long way in this video alone. Glad to see you are learning and addressing mistakes from the past. As others stated, I couldn't tell if anyone pulled the wire up. In the time-lapse it was hard to tell, but it appears that no wire was pulled. You're the boss, remind them to pull the wire up. And in the future, show the wire being pulled in your videos... Doing great!!! Your broom work looks better than in the beginning as well! Keep pushing forward young man!!!

Under $25k, Victory would have been $35k but better quality and completed in 2-3 days instead of over a few weeks. Surprising how much different this job looks compared to one of Ryan's given its essentially all Victory employees pouring/finishing. I guess the big difference is in initial setup and the finish brooming/joints. Still its better than the old asphalt the customer had.

You have been with him for a year or two and you want to be a junior Ryan. Spend 20 years perfecting your craft and then go on KZbin. Stop with the channel and keep learning your trade before you try to tell people how good you are. I love your work ethic but you have a llllloooonnnnggg way to go before you can establish yourself. In all honesty, you would be one of the last contractors I would hire to do a job for me. You’re still young. Learn from Ryan. He definitely tries to help you out in your young career. They always find something to complain about! How about telling a young ambitious man who is working two(2) jobs trying to start a new business for himself that he is the exception! Most young individuals your age are not married with a child and if they are chances are they live with parents or in-laws 😂 YOU SIR are a REAL MAN who tries to provide for his family as YOU do, and let's not forget that YOUR jobs allow you to hire and pay your help allowing them to make extra money. When a customer com0lains then you worry! If Ryan was to pull you to the side and critique something you've done then I would worry and I would take Ryan's advice! That man is in your corner. His help and him telling you that you can do it along with your will to succeed will bring you over the top! God is good and HE helps those that help themselves and others! Gilbert Alicea NYC
