I 100% agree with you that their songs helped keep me on the good path in life, only got to see them once back in 97, amazing band.

I still listen to Triumph. Loved them back in the day and still love them. Allied Forces and Just a Game rule. Glad you mentioned Ordinary Man. Such a killer track. They were almost 2 bands in one. The songs sung by Rik and the songs sung by Gil were different but equally awesome!

Met Rick back in late 80's after leaving Triumph, still have his autograph. Super nice guy.

Saw them twice in their heyday. 1981 and 1982. They never disappointed live . Triple bill in 1982 with Foghat and Shooting Star - all the bands were great.

Rik Emmett is the iconic, vocals on nearly, all their classic tunes. Those first few albums rocked.

Triumph was one of the absolute best live bands of the era. I saw the Allied Forces tour and the Sport of Kings tour. Those early albums rock. I still play Allied Forces, Never Surrender, and Thunder Seven regularly. It's a shame they're no longer around.

Love Triumph 79-86 My Triumph story is very similar to yours Ralphael. Except my first time I saw them in 80 on Progressions of Power tour. I saw every tour after up to Sport of Kings in 86. Including twice on Allied Forces Tour. Once in 81 with Saxon as a warmup act. Then in 82 as part of a Summer Jam stadium show in KC 1. Allied Forces 2. Just A Game 3. Never Surrender 4. Progressions of Power 5. Thunder Seven 6. Rock & Roll Machine 7. Sport of Kings 8. Edge of Excess 9. In The Beginning 10. Surveillance

Ralph, I have a great news story for your "Only News that Matters" Look up Bob Burns. He's the original drummer for Lynyrd Skynyrd. He played on their first two album. had 2 daughters, died in 2015 in a car wreck and had a zero net worth. Why? because Skynyrd never paid him royalties. The court sided in his favor and set him up to receive millions, but that was in 2023. Isn't that unbelievable? I think the world needs to hear your opinion on this. I hope you consider doing a video on this. It would be cool to see the guy remembered. Not to mention letting people know how bad he was screwed over. Peace.. Joe

The band died all due to rick emmett bailing out on the band in the first place ! It is just way to bad that phil x did not continue with the line up of triumph that included phil x !
