My very first concert was also Cheap Trick in May 1979! (at age 14 in Rochester, NY), like you I spent time in Reseda, CA in 1985, and I also lived in Florida in the 80's, this is beyond the valley of the coincidental bro!

My first show was Kiss 10/21/79 in Houston TX. Don't have the ticket stub anymore, but recall it was only $8.00 for an Arena show which seems insane now ... Man the good ol' days...

Excellent stories!!! I waited all night at Craig’s record factory in Corpus Christi to get good tickets for Ozzy and Queensryche in ‘86. I got 2nd row tickets. We skipped school that day and drank all day long. By the time I got to the show I was completely shit faced and got arrested just as Queensryche was coming on stage. Funny story now, but it sure sucked at the time!!!

I would love to have seen the Creatures Of The Night Tour. I'm not a huge Vinnie fan, but I've seen video on here and the energy of those shows was unbelievable.

@7:03 Bon Jovi might have sucked in 84 but they sure azhell didn't Suck in Slippery when wet Tour or Jersey Tour or even till this day! Bon jovi its one of those few bands that can still pack an entire Arena in 2021! Saw Bon Jovi 6 times and they always kicked major Ass!

This is a great post. I too have been to many shows, and lost tickets over the years. Turned up at shows without a ticket. Not being able to get into a show be cause it's sold out. I've forgotten a lot over the years. What's also fascinating, is the different bills you had in the US compared to what toured the UK. Couple of examples..Priest/Accept.. Priest/Maiden...Scorpions/Blackfoot..Motley/Cheap Trick..Motorhead /Saxon....the list goes on... great post

Great, The thing I noticed is how they began creeping in the extra chrages, first it was FIFTY CENS parking fee, then 75,then a Dollar, then CITY fee's, now with Crockbuster they add in huge additional fees. Last time I went to a concert, the base ticket was like $102.5 but after all the additional feel it was noear to $149.00 and the venue still was zapping another $10 parking, not to mention $10 glasses of Pepsi which were 1/2 nothing but ICE. My earliest KISS was In Tempe,Az back in August, 1976 and the ticket was $7.50 to see KISS, Ted Nugent, Bob Segar.

Dr. Fukk, cool collection of stubs. Looking forward to part two of this. You are right on the money with the light show at Triumph in 86. That was actually the sport of kings tour. I saw that a few week before that in Philadelphia with Yngwie Malmsteen opening. Cool video!

Wow, How were you able to go to so many shows and especially at such young age? Did your brother bought you tickets for the concerts? Maybe friends? I remember tickets being $15 but also we would get paid $3.00 an hour back in 84🤔

The Bob segar Molly hatchet show ticket stub was the picture of the album cover with glitter on the horses or least my ticket stub was I remember in my opinion Molly hatchet sucked terrible sound then Bob segar came on and was great I later seen Danny Joe brown band with the kinks at sunrise musical theater and he was great a lot better by himself I wish I had those ticket stubs as well my problem was ex girlfriends stealing them. I think camping out for tickets at peaches was sometimes just as fun as the concerts

I really enjoyed that Ralph. I've recently been flipping through my own stubs which I do not have in an album. Lots of great rockin' memories. Cool to hear the same tours we both attended, though, of course, you went above & beyond in most cases. Can't say I ever had casual sex with a stranger in the balcony of ANY show. I'm so proud of you! LOL

Almost Human oh okay I’ll check out your kiss collection videos thanks I guess I never seen it the first time but really great ticket stubs, it sucks you lost the creatures one obviously cause it was your first concert but that tour, but as a kiss collector there’s not a lot of creatures merchandise from that tour so that would’ve been cool.

Hello mr. Ralph from Spain. It is very sad to see the tickets used to be so ugly back in the day in the USA! At least here there was some art, color and design put on them. Only now, with the print-at-home tickets, the dullness and lack of imagination is seen more often.

Your right Ratt always had sound problems, at the LA Forum in '85 with Bon Jovi could not here Warren's guitar at all. Stryper played some strange venues, I seen them at Knotts Berry Farm, in Buena Park Ca. in '85 It's an old west theme park Still have a bootleg from that show.

lol i thought i had seen a lot of bands lol i remember i saw the iron maiden / malmsteen but a little more north of you in Va. at the capital center near D.C. fucking i loved the show i remember malmsteen came out and played eruption with his teeth and his ass lol and i swear i had this old man sitting in front of us he had to be like 70 years old he stands up as malmsteen takes the stage this old man screams at the top of his fucking lungs yngwie fucking malmsteen kicks ass fuck i fell over in my seat we couldn't stop laughing as we all said thats going to be us one day ,good times for sure and i cant remember the exact date have to find my stubs but i remember when king diamond played on my birthday at the buyou in D.C fucking amazing show as i said sabbath is my favorite band of all time but merciful fate / kind diamond respectively are my second favorite just made an order for all the reissues of the MF / KD Cd's that just got released from metal blade records there suppose to be the raw recordings as they were intended to be heard not all this modern day bull shit with 24 & 48 bit and higher with full dynamic range and not the 24 bit reissue from road runner some years back, still need to get the vinyls of them as well, all good stuff lots of memories cheers bra \m/\m/
