I'm one of those KISS fans that thinks the band started faltering after Alive! Destroyer was pretty dang good, but something wasn't the same. Rock and Roll Over also good, but it started to feel like a formula. Love Gun really felt like a formula. For me, KISS is first album, Hotter, Dressed, Alive! and then the Ace songs from solo album and Dynasty. Hard Times was the final KISS song in my opinion. Yeah I know, "Forever" and such. But that was the Paul Stanley solo band. Whatever holo crap they are now building their retirement funds from is of no interest to me.

Even Ace admitted after Alive!, KISS lost that hunger as was in the early days. Commercialism and stardom destroyed the band. I completely agree.

I was in the middle of MSG for that last show which was great all the way up to KISS disappearing in the smoke, until…the screen started showing the cartoon characters. I mean people were just kind of like, wtf? No in an excited way either. I’m not sure KISS could stop this from happening now even if they wanted to. They’ve sold their rights and this company has put a lot of $ into it. Maybe the company will try to cut their losses by combining the avatar KISS with ABBA. “ABBA with special guests, cartoon KISS!”

The genuine final Kiss Farewell tour is up to the personal choice of when a fan thinks they've had enough and drops away. Kiss has used marketing and gimmickry for so long it doesn't matter. It reminds me of a re inflated balloon to commemorate the good times, but doesn't quite work properly.

The only band I know people would be willing to see would be a Beatles avatar show. I can bet a year's rent, for every KISS fan, there's at least a hundred Beatles fans. The Beatles are forever, KISS isn't. Paul as well as Gene should go down with the ship.

We live in a dump of a times man. Local bands who really work their ass off, and often make something worth listening are strugglin to play a gig anywhere, while stuff like avatards keeps happening. Like you said, some folks would attend a few shows out of pure curiosity, some may even get free tickets for that, some will only go there to take a picture for their social media, man this is horrible, can you imagine that people were always angry at me because Im that one person who never remembers to take a damn photo during the show, because I came over there to actually enjoy the show? Nobody cares about big shows anymore, its more like "luk boiz I wuz der". Yeah, some may and will say "come on man, music is evolving and stuff, dont get stuck in the past" well excuse me, its not the problem with the music, there are still bands who know how to kick azz, its the thing people want everything served up their nose nwoadays. Check out local schedules for live shows, drop by to see who is playing, and MEET THE DUDES IN REALITY. I think you nailed it. This thing‘s probably dead in the water and it’s probably gonna fold up before too long. Literally the only thing kiss had going for it in the last 20 years was the live performance. Why they would think anything else would be successful is beyond anything I can think of. Not only that the likeness of the avatars is gonna be a problem. The casuals aren’t gonna care however those of us that have been there from the beginning want to see the likeness of Ace and Peter. They would be better off having no likeness and just going with the cat man and spaceman. But I think you’re right. This thing isn’t gonna see the light of day.

The ABBA show is genuinely entertaining for those who are lifelong fans of Abba 'MUSIC'. The Avatar show is secondary and more of a back-drop to the music. It's based at a refurbished arena in London, England and the technology in-place CANNOT be toured outside of that one venue. Lifelong KISS fans will expect something more than just music with a video game backdrop. Tommy Thayer and Eric Singer should be left out of the KISS fandom criticism, they have no stake in this Pophouse/Gene and Paul endeavour.

They could have ran it after Evan’s band played, esp for the pay per view crowd, but at the end of the show, the place was filled with smoke and people were just starting to file out of MSG, thousands not getting their promised commemorative golden tickets, hearing Paul’s voice like he had one more thing to say and it turned out to be…..a cartoon? He’s a man in his 70s who has to hire a guy to program his remote talking about how awesome this technology is. Rio in Vegas is going through renovations and with KISS having their minigolf and museum there, probably will have the theater there as well, but Paul won’t be the one in the board meetings for that. It’ll be a “KISS Experience” for the family and I’m sure there will be a KISS lounge and a merch store. I’d go see it for 30 bucks. They pretty much have to remix the master tapes and make it “immersive”. I don’t think Paul even knows what the outcome is going to be, or cares anymore. He’s counting his money from EOTR, art galleries, and what Pophouse gave him. I would say his net worth is easily half a billion now. But… Sphere is charging $100 bucks a seat to see a virtual U2 concert???? Who the F is going to pay for THAT???

I've been what you call a ''cheater Criss'' for $500.00 per show in the Montreal tribute KISS band KISSed. Imagine what I would do for a million dollar contract. Eric and Tommy are not to blame. That being said, I never saw the movie picture ''Avatar'' because I didn't want to see it. I don't like fake characters. But it's still selling since 2009.
