My English born father took me here 30 years ago during my first trip outside of America. Those green hills and that stream imprinted a vivid memory in me that I've always cherished, and I always assumed they were probably now covered in apartment buildings and stores and roads. Seeing the first few seconds of this video made my day!!!

The whole castle is a construction site and they take 20 £ entrance fee without telling you that the castle is a construction site. They also dont tell you that you are not allowed to take pictures inside! Just stay away!

Just dropped off some guest there couple of days ago. Alnwick Castle was used as a filming location of both the Philosopher’s Stone and the Chamber of Secrets. Harry and his classmates learned to fly broomsticks on the Outer Bailey, which is also where Harry learned to play the wizarding sport Quidditch. Walk around the castle’s courtyards and baileys, and try and spot where Harry and his friends walked to class, where Ron crashed his dad’s flying car, and their route to Hagrid’s hut and the Forbidden Forest.

When men were men, grade school drama teachers did not exist, and if they had, the idea of one becoming a king would have, (quite rightly), been ludicrous and laughable. ( In fact that concept would make made a very good Monty Python skit.)
