Bro, I have been following your channel since the beginning of Covid 19 and I must say that you have really upgraded from losing your job and now an amazing content creator, from standing on the skiff covering miles at sea to now a full fledge boat going on expedition. Do you know how many men's dreams you are living. Keep up the good work, Rod. Cheers from.Canada

"Really impressed with your trip! Taking a small boat 80km out to sea for offshore fishing is courageous and challenging. The scenes of setting up camp and cooking on the deserted island were amazing, bringing a sense of adventure and closeness to nature Thank you for sharing this unique experience!"🎉❤

Nice to see someone that's not yelling, yehaaring and high fiveing themselves. I enjoyed jaunts like this with Dad in the 70s. Islands and sand bars covered in shells and corals. Then reef had so much colour back then though, the silt and fertiliser from the cane fields have hurt the old reef. Nice show mate 👍

Just a suggestion is to anchor the boat out bow first with your main anchor then use a rear anchor. This way the boat can ride up and over the waves as they come in. Side on as you had it can see the boat take on water that you dont really want coming in. You can use an old car inner tube between your anchor and the rope attaching it to the boat this will give you some very strong stretch and act as a shock absorber for the anchor in bad conditions. Thoroughly enjoyed the film. Cheers Glenn

Great to see you consider bird breeding grounds when selecting a campsite. Oyster Catchers (the walkers) breed over spring and summer if I remember but those islands play host to so many local species and from around the world too. Kudos 👍
@chats5957Ай бұрын
Yeah it's great that he considered the birds, but unfortunately camping outside the designated camping area on Mast Head island isn't setting a good example for viewers. Nick Fry and Miller Wilson do the same thing. Go to an island with designated camping areas, then walk to the other side of the island, make their own camping area and pretend they're the only one on a 'deserted' island.
