How do you do war zones without teammates?

You can't, you'll either have AI companions or real players

I believe you just start a mission offline / solo and don’t select any companion AI. On PlayStation just hit Square and make sure no one is selected outside of your character in the hero roster before mission start. Edit: that does not work RIP
