Regardless as to the ease of publishing via Starlink or multiple venues, you two have given so much of your time to better our appreciation of the sea. Please keep going forward it is our learning and entertainment many of us have cruised the same lats and longitude’s, now too old to hoist the sails , clean bilges, and fight for sunrise thru the “dog “ watches. Love you guys, keep sailing and enjoy the “Southern Cross” … fair winds, favorable seas. Captain Clay S/V Moonshadow, 45’ Nelson Merrick .

I’m sure I speak for everyone when I say I look forward to these videos everyday. Not only is it a small escape from my reality for a little while, the vlog style makes us feel like we are there with you. No fast edits. Just a day in the life of cruisers. Thank you for the hard work I know it takes getting these out everyday!

Agreed! I like cars and drag racing. And a few other channels do this during race week. Where you have to go track to track and keep the car running. And it's the same way as this. Every day, you wait for the new video.

I am so glad Ayanna will be here for a while. She is so much fun to watch. Jade, I am inspired by your drive to do things yourself. Never let people’s comments take that away. You have an awesome husband who wants to see you shine. Thank you for sharing part of your lives with us.

It's good that Jade wants to learn and do things. As to fully expecting Brit to do it all, forbit he gets hurt without knowing what to do both could be in trouble, so VERY good she knows the lines.

For me if everyone knows how to operate the vessel singlehanded then it takes the pressure off everyone and allows all to be fully engaged and the maximum out or it. Bret being a pilot will be used to having a copilot and so sharing that load and responsibility so will be a great mentor for both soft skills and practical skills. It seems to me that a good boat’s systems should all be completely operable by everyone the skipper wants to survive onboard… No manual windless if only one person has the strength to raise the anchor as an example.

“If he were more of a man then I wouldn’t have to do anything…” I had to pause the video at this point , 35:18, and comment. I suppose this all depends on what your definition of being a man is. The man I’m trying to be is one that is supportive, generous , hard working when i need to be and calm and relaxed when I don’t. I want to see those around me grow as individuals to be who God wants them to be not what anyone else thinks they should be. Some will want to be independent some will want to be dependant and all the shades in between, that’s their choice and they are free to change their mind as often as they want. It is very easy to judge others by what we have decided for ourselves or by what we believe to be right in fact we have little other options when it comes to judging people. Perhaps that is why the bible says ‘Judgment is mine, said the lord’ or similar. Perhaps we would do better if we stopped judging and used that time to celebrate each persons individuality, strengths and weaknesses. Back to the comment. If we wrap someone up in cotton wool, we do everything for them so they don’t have to , then we diminish them by depriving them of accomplishment. We harm the one we try to protect. Most folk doing this will do it through love for that person but some will do it so they can hold against them. What I see, without judgement, is three glorious people, growing together as well as individually and sharing with us. Let’s take this as the blessing it is…

I was at sea with the US Navy for four years. For all that time I had the 4 to 8 deck watch. Both morning and evening. That was back in 1966 /69. Listening to you express how beautiful the sun rises and sets are brought back memories of that time, and tears to my eyes.

I'm approaching the stage where I leave this world, but one thing's for sure, when I come back I'm getting me a nice comfortable 53ft boat, 2 dogs & a couple of eye candy ladies, dial up some good weather (a bit more than you guys are getting though) & head out into the open sea again. After watching you guys, I'm convinced that I've done it all wrong so far..!! 🤪

This may be my favorite passage video so far. I loved the question answer part as it cleared up so much I had been wondering about. I had been wondering about Aiyana’s status but felt maybe she wasn’t ready to talk publicly yet. She seems to be a free spirit and wonderful person much like Jade so I suspect Brett needs to keep them grounded a bit so Eva doesn’t launch into neverland. Great crew! Great passage! Great videos! I’m glad Aiyana will be staying on into the Fall.

Everyone on board should be able to take over completely, including repairs, in case there is an illness or injury, as can easily happen, when miles from nowhere. In an instant, things can go from great to horrific. Prepreation includes being ready for anyone to fix anything, enough to ensure survival. Good job Jade. Keep pushing your boundaries. Crew, your presentations to us are interesting, funny, inspiring, informative, creative and so far beyond enjoyable that you wouldn't believe. Many thousand thanks. The question period had me smiling from the start to the finish. Im glad you'll all be together for some time. You're all an amazing team. Thank you all, so much.

I loved the the transition into of Jade saying it was a good day to sail over the beginning of the drone footage with the music was really nice, guys! The shots of Eva from the air on the great big sea took my breath away for the 2nd time. ❤

Just in case this old saying hasn’t already been posted “ sailing is interminable boredom interspersed with moments of stark terror.” While I’m at it “ sailing is as much fun as standing in an ice cold shower tearing up thousand dollar bills.” That said, if I weren’t older than dirt I’d still have a boat and I’d be sailing what’s left of my wheels off. Love your channel. Thank you for posting pretty darn close to real time. It makes insomnia worthwhile. Larry

my father was an underwater demolition swimmer in WWII, and he did a lot of small boat operations in the pacific. He taught me that same knot 60 years ago, when I was about 10, and I can still tie it in a flash. Not technically a bowline but it works just as well, and you can tie it so fast.

I must have missed the early episode in which you outlined your around-the-world route. Q&A: Could you please tell us in a few words which way you plan to complete your circumnavigation from the Azores? Sail down the west coast of Africa?, Traverse the Cape of Good Hope west to east?, sail {north?/south?} of Australia, round the Horn west to east?, sail up the east coast of South America?, and then north through the Caribbean and home? I have been following the exciting adventures of the Evans family (Brett, Jade, Dingo and Penny) for many weeks now ever since I discovered your channel when you were spending such long hours and showing amazing energy and passion restoring your new home before leaving on the adventure of a lifetime. I am 84 yo now and living in the Gold Coast Australia, so I have nothing but admiration for the dedication and energy you show in pursuing your new lifestyle. I look forward to your future videos with great anticipation and wish you all a safe trip home. At my age ones mobility and energy is greatly reduced, so I am particularly grateful that you have allowed me to share your life doing exciting things that I now appreciate are so important, but that I can no longer undertake personally. I am particularly enjoying the comradery that you both enjoy with Aiyana. So safe sailing and best wishes from Australlia.

You're getting better and better with your journey, The sea is amazing, the weather is so good and your video background matches the calmness of your voyage, amazingly perfect, i usually watch a sailing video that travels North Pacific and they are not the same as you are, so nice to see calm waves, it can encourage other people to travel like you does, and everyone really come very handy specially Ayana she works fast, think fast and very cheerfull crew, and jade and Brent are very accommodating couple, no harsh just very cool people, a perfect trio❤ And i heard ayana's planning to have a boat and looking forward to have a channel iam gonna wait for that so that i can watch her most of the time like i've been watching u..
