My father, an Army Veteran was never scared of anything. Or at least I never saw a hint of fear in him, ever. He would take my brother and I on late night bike rides, we would explore abandoned houses and stuff. I never felt scared when I was with my dad. Now that I'm an adult, I realize my dad was a little bit crazy haha, I could never be as fearless as him. I still explore here and there, but I am always careful and remember that there are dangers out there. Your video was really cool, I love the woods (I live in Bigfoot country) deep in the Midwest. Was he a combat vet? Not much scares a combat vet. He had seen death up close and most likely returned death up close. Even non combat vets have a different level of fear. Just a general observation. Marines and army vets all share a higher level of coolness and not likely to give in and scream like little girls.

Dude, at like the 12:00 mark sounded like someone threw or hit something, cool that you were able to hold it together and still have a beer! I am pretty sure that the alien looking plants were fiddlehead ferns...it's about that time of year and the curled up heads can be harvested before they unfurl to be cooked and eaten and taste alot like asparagus, IF that's what they were 'Picture This' app is good for ID. we have those on western Washington too. Please, if you are in a state that allows it, bring a firearm with you when you go camping. It is far better to have one and never have to use it than the other way around. This doesn't just apply to human threats in the woods, but wildlife as well. Stay safe out there, we all love your videos and want you to be safe.

This guy has absolutely no knowledge of the woods he had enough birch bark to light 100 fires, and he made his own path into the woods without marking a trail for himself to get back, people in canada complain that most people dont have guns, but you can still shoot a bow and arrow so how come you dont have one, and bear spray? The other thing is if your only going 5 minutes into the brush, thats not going into the woods, thats a city persons idea of going into the woods, this guy is obviously someone who lives in town.

going into the woods, especially at night, while being unarmed and naive is what can get you into trouble. you talk about not thinking the worst case scenario. you gotta use your head, especially these days, where there are crazy people everywhere, even in the woods at night. what are you gonna do if someone walks out from behind one of those trees and answers you when you are saying, hello? that probably won't be the best case scenario for you. stop being naive. you need to start thinking the worst case scenario, that will prepare you in case it does happen. start thinking about what the hell you gonna do if you are attacked out there.
